the DATE.

today...the OFFICIAL date has been set!

but how annoying is it that our reception on Saturday night will be on 9-10-11?! Arg. Did NOT mean for that to happen but every time I pass on the date of our events to someone they immediately get excited about that CRAZY coincidence....arg. Is it okay that I immediately remove that loser from my guest list?;)

WOW. That is the day I will become J's wife. Hmmm. Not so much bringing a tear to the eye today, maybe having something to do with the fact that his ass has been attached to the couch for the majority of today and this day that is supposed to be 'our day'. I guess every day can't feel like the BEST day. poo.

Either way. I'm mostly excited today. Not only did I write out $400 worth of checks but we have a deposit down on the restaurant for the wedding dinner and have paid in full for the ceremony site! That means a date has been set and this thing is REALLY happening! NO going back now.

All this after many frustrating - annoying - irritating calls to the restaurant and that is me just guessing how the manager must have felt with me constantly calling and trying to get something that would meet our budget (and still not seem completely cheap!). BUT we have something, that did exceed our budget but that won't completely ruin our goal to keep this shindig within $6,000, so I'm happy!

And the ceremony site...it's a done deal. ALL paid for. I'm veryyyy excited about that and even more excited to have heard BOTH places include 'unusual request' when trying to figure out how to charge us or make this thing happen.

I was somewhat surprised to find that our plans are that 'unusual' but inside it secretly makes me happy to know that ours is, in fact, different than most.

So even though I'm seriously annoyed with J right now because of him being a waste of space on our 'date day'...I'm still excited to have a wedding date set. I guess that could only mean one thing....I'll keep him:)
