inspirational napping.

in my usual impatient fashion, I've come up with ANOTHER project while we are STILL ankle deep in about 3 other projects.

BUT I've been reassured by Jacob that we willllll indeed have our current list of projects completed by the end of the year. This way we can concentrate all of our efforts on enjoying next year's wedding festivities.

BUT we've both agreed that my most recent idea, brought on by a nap (I have all of my bestest ideas during nap time:), is TOO awesome not to do.

so long story short....if the list below is completed by Nov. 1, 2010, we will more than likely take on this project in the Spring of 2011!!!!:) I'm PUMPED..I'm MOTIVATED. I want my newwwwww Walk-In Closet!!!!!!

Pending Projects - Due Nov. 1, 2010
Kitchen
- trim
- few pieces of ceiling tile
- upper cabinet & open shelving
- lighting
- minimal plastering & painting
Bathroom
- showering tub/shower stall
- minimal plastering & painting
- wood panels for walls
- pedestal sink
- lighting
Outdoors
- stone patio
- minimal landscaping
- paint siding
Living room
- trim

SO this may seem like the.longest.list.everrrrr but it's a lot of little things that can not be done till one other little thing is done and so on and so on. BUT it's totally doable!

see what I have in mind below for our future bedroom and you'll see why I am SO beyond excited and optimistic about this year's projects being behind us so that I can start thinking about this oneeee last one:)

the plan would be to knock out the closet we currently have and push it back and you'd be able to walk around either side of the bed into a walk-in closet...but that wall behind the bed would be a 1/2 wall (pretty tall) and we'd have some nice windows in the closet to let in natural light (small square ones at the top of the room).

love this color, the pull out drawers...and it just looks nice and solid. My hope is to have room for a small desk with a little chair - and luckily I love little chairs and have a nice collection of them to choose from! PS. this is Carrie Bradshaw's closet...super:)
i'm thinking we'll do carpeting in the walk-in and this shag looks ohhhh SO cozy.
i must have a HUGE mirror...with gold trim...and that ottoman...yes. MUST.
mostly loving the island with the awesome counter top...and this feels like an approximate size once all is said and done, probably a bit larger than I'll have but would be a solid layout.
wish us butt loads of luck!
