good morning saturday.

Watercolor Flower Duvet Cover $119

another day another dollar, as they say. I'm already an hour into my day at work and starting my blogging;)

this post is a reminder of what I'm missing right now and that's SLEEP!
We have a white comforter on our bed that looks SOOO good...kinda...sorta...depending on the light. And at this point we've had it for almost a year and I wouldn't even call it white anymore. I'd call it a shitty shade of white. White in some spots...not in others.
Amazing how dirty it gets and how dirty it stays, even after bleaching and a wash. And we've also got some chocolate brown going on with our pillows that I'd LOVE to make disappear cause it really has no place in our dirty white bed.

okay...so if you can imagine...minus the animals, plus some chocolate brown pillows - this is our bed situation. Wouldn't the 1st duvet cover with the yellow look awesome!? And the great part is that we have a super SUPER, I'm not lieing..this thing is adorable - TV stand...it's not anything official, just a small/rustic/vintage/pale yellow cabinet that would bring all the yellow together!

PS. anything gray is a good thing:)

visuals.

hopefully this will give you a better idea of what I'm thinking for the new bedroom closet. This is our current closet situation. OR was....it's trimmed out and filled with more clothes than necessary for one person.

when we're done there would be another walk through door on the right side, the drawers would be gone and there would be a 3/4 wall in the middle.

home love friday.

this bedroom.IS.Aweessssssommme! Me and Jacob have talked a lot about the house we'd love to have in the next 5 years and it always, kids or no kids, comes down to us having a space to call our own...a place we can bring up some coffee, open the window...possibly even walk out onto our little deck/patio and sit for a few minutes as the sun comes up and the kids (or animals if kids really don't happen;) sleep...and just be us for a little bit. Yep. That will happen. This I know.

blank walls.

wouldn't these be nifty art for the walls in your home?! I've been thinking a lot lately about blowing up some pictures I've taken myself or of me and Jacob to hang on the walls...finding some inexpensive black frames and getting some 'art' up on the walls.

below are some images I just found on Wallblank. Great site for very inexpensive prints of all different kinds. Each day they feature a new print, which I believe they post until the print is sold out.
for my office or library (built-in shelves filled with books on all walls:) someday....5x8 $14
adorable for the kitchen...I'm really liking this one and may consider a purchase! 10x14 $25
i love these next 2 for our bathroom.....nice and simple. top - 16x22 $34, bottom - 12x18 $24

this awesome piece of animal candy is a photo of me and Jacob's bedroom...I think. Can't tell with the animals lounging. But just an example of us finally getting something on the walls. This picture is actually a charcoal drawing that my cousin did for me as a Christmas Gift (seriously...nothing better than something homemade:) freaking 5 yearssss ago. I FINALLY got it up on the walls.
and even better....that frame was something that was at the house when I moved in and I got around to spray painting it and it worked out perfectly:)
arg. Pisses me off that I'm SO motivated sitting here in this cubicle but the minute I get out of this place...I'll be ready to join the animals in lounging.

our house.

i think A LOT about what me and J's home will some day look like. We've done a ton of remodeling on our current teeny tiny home and once it's done (hopefully within a year) I'll post some before and afters....but after this house...I will not do Another house. BUILDING is the only next option. J knows I feel strongly about this! I've got A LOT of inspiration saved and so here are just a few.....

J lovessss black for the kitchen and seeing as he's the only reason I need to lose 5lbs. and also the only reason I don't starve to death...AND a lot because he's the most amazing cook and in turn I'm a LUCKY girl...I'll let him do just aboutttt anything with the kitchen. Except for make it completely black. He's been a litttttle worried about that but after showing him some kitchens like these, he's starting to realize you can do black without doing it ALL black!

i haven't started getting too deep into layouts and house plans and such, yet. BUT me and J have talked a lot about what we'd like to see in a built house of our own someday. And even J has a lot to contribute to those conversations!

I'm almost dead set on something new I've stumbled upon, Eichler Homes (found via Davina & Daniels blog:). They're simple, open, airy, big windows...everything I want in our home!

built-ins, built-ins, built-ins. The MORE...the BETTER.

NO WORDS can describe how much I love, love love, love LOVE this bedroom. The bed sitting on that thing and that bed and those windows..did I mention the bed?! I'd be afraid to get that room because you may catch me never leaving it.

zzzzzzz.

the previous wedding post was really all I have in me today. I'm tired....I slept in and was a tadddd bit late for work this morning. I'm unshowered and my eyes are incredibly heavy. The worst part is that I'm staring at the calendar in my cubby and it's telling me that I have a meeting after work. NOT cool.
sleep is forever away.

the nookie:)

are you KIDDING me with these nooks?! They are sooo fantastic! I pretty much want a house fillllled with nooks. A nook for the kids room, a nook to read, a nook for eating! Obviously these are for the bedroom option but I feel completely inspired to draw up plans for a house now....including a nook or 2!

these were found on the site: You Are My Fav - Nooks.

PS. Sorry to get off the wedding train for a second but I'm a lover of all things pretty, all things hippy, all things black:)...fashion, home, wedding. SO hopefully you won't mind if I pass on some random tid bits every now and again!
