streamers in the skyyyyy:)

so I have 800 feet of streamers sitting on the counter right now. Yum. I've been hunting down ideas as to what to do with it. I'd like to do something in the tent, at the reception. BUT what...

- streamer ball?

- streamer sculpture?

hmmmm.

and then I see this dress and get completely side tracked:)

UP hello prettiest dress in the whole wide world. Seeing as I've already bought about 4 wedding dresses...what's one more?;)

and then I found the above reception photos...with the cloth ceiling. It may not look like much and you're probably wondering what this has to do with my 800 feet of streamers. BUT it helped me to figure it all out. Man. I love when something just clicks and I know it's what I want to do. Yep. Feels like I need to just cry a little and then move on with my night;)

and now we wait. Cause all these fantabulous ideas I have could go flying out the window when the Tent gets here and we see that none of them will work....HEY NOW...back to my positive thinking.

- the weather WILL be amazing

- guests WILL sign the guest book and take a favor home:)

- guests WILL particiPAR in the photo booth

- no one will take nasty poo's in the porta-potties:)

please?! Do it for us...PULEASSSSEEE!!!!!???:)

my bathroom with claws.

as you may know...mainly because I've said this over and over and overrrr again...I love claw foot tubs. I want one in my home. Unfortunately that didn't happen in my cozy 1200 square foot love nest (aka. the money pit)...BUT in the next, much bigger home, it.will.happen!

aren't these just the most perfect thing to EVER happen to a bathroom!? My god...it calms me down just thinking about it!

the one in the upper left hand corner reminds me of what I had envisioned for our current teeny bathroom and it all worked out well in the end...but I'm still sad for my claw foot. I won't have to wait too long to see it though cause I'm hoping to fill it with ice, mini water bottles and juice pouches for the wedding reception. Yes...we will hang out then. Me and you, claw foot tub:)

sooooo so close.

it's SO freaking close to being done I can tasssste it! Really. REALLY close.

heading to Target tomorrow to pick up some shower curtain rings and then I'll be showering in there Friday morning! Now that seems like a dream to me. BUT is that enough for me?! NO, now I'm going to be demanding a sink and a mirror and a real light. I'm such a biatch.


but lordy. It's just SO pretty. Such a pretty, pretty site compared to what it used to look like. I mean...seriously. This thing was NOT pretty!!!

my new pottery barn bathroom.

while not so busy at work today, I found myself leafing through the dreaded, out of my price range.....Pottery Barn Magazine!

and yes...long story short...I found $410 worth of shit that I now must have for my teeny bathroom.


as you can see....we're not quitttte done with the bathroom yet. Although today the grouting was finished so I WILL be showering in that bad boy on Tuesday morning. Seriously....I can't even imagine what it'll be like to shower at my OWN HOUSE! My god. It's finally happening...:)





and here are some things that I'd love to see in the bathroom....I may have to check-out Walmart (ewwww.) for knockoffs. But I like that they wouldn't add too much clutter to the area and would serve a great purpose.

dream a little bathroom dream.

here it is folks.....I took an updated shot of the bathroom. I must remind you that we've been working on this project for more than 3 months. And as you can see...that means there has not been a shower for that same amount of time. SO every morning...bright and early....430am, I'm out the door and making the 6-ish block drive to my parents' to use their shower and then doing my make-up kneeling in front of a mirror in my bedroom and then blow drying my hair in front of the mirror over my kitchen sink. Ahhhh, good times;)


but tonight I am drinking a glass of wine while Jacob plays a war game on his iPhone...it's a celebration. The bathroom is FINALLY ready for tiling. Jacob will be starting that tomorrow night and hopefully...HOPEFULLY there will be some showering going on in a short time. Even a bubble bath with candles, chewy sprees and some oldies in the background. It'll be like a dream:)

just a fabulous bathroom. Seriously...a little fireplace?!...add a vintage radio on top of that and this is all I would need. EVER.
