streamers in the skyyyyy:)

so I have 800 feet of streamers sitting on the counter right now. Yum. I've been hunting down ideas as to what to do with it. I'd like to do something in the tent, at the reception. BUT what...

- streamer ball?
- streamer sculpture?

hmmmm.

and then I see this dress and get completely side tracked:)

UP hello prettiest dress in the whole wide world. Seeing as I've already bought about 4 wedding dresses...what's one more?;)

and then I found the above reception photos...with the cloth ceiling. It may not look like much and you're probably wondering what this has to do with my 800 feet of streamers. BUT it helped me to figure it all out. Man. I love when something just clicks and I know it's what I want to do. Yep. Feels like I need to just cry a little and then move on with my night;)

and now we wait. Cause all these fantabulous ideas I have could go flying out the window when the Tent gets here and we see that none of them will work....HEY NOW...back to my positive thinking.

- the weather WILL be amazing
- guests WILL sign the guest book and take a favor home:)
- guests WILL particiPAR in the photo booth
- no one will take nasty poo's in the porta-potties:)

please?! Do it for us...PULEASSSSEEE!!!!!???:)

i do...or don't?!

sorry for the awful iPhone photos. BUT what are our thoughts about this outfit!? I'm thinking of wearing it to a wedding Jacob and I have on Saturday.

thinking:
- is the skirt too white?! I do.NOT want to be a guest wearing too much white..you know?!

also thinking of wearing my wedding reception heels - Nine West - to get those worked in a bit.
And they're absolutely precious. I want to cuddle with them!!!

SMILE:)

i can't waitttttt for our wedding. Can't WAIT for our weddddinggggg. And reception, of course:)

i got some cords in the mail the other day. Jacob and I finally got around to hooking it up to see how the whole deal works.

SO it's going down like this:
- we are setting up a moch photo booth
- we'll have a space especially for it with a back drop and little props (can you say CONFETTI!!!!:)
- our flat screen and Nikon will be set-up (an not accessible by guests)
- guests will use a clicker to take their photo
- the photo will be viewable for 3 seconds on the TV
- guests are welcome to take as many as they'd like!!!

HLkhaklghlakghklaghgaklLKHYQLKUgklhalkg. = Me excited!

after trying it out, we both agreed...it's going to be fun. It's definitely not like the instant gratification of getting a photo printed out immediately. BUT we are keeping in mind that we're saving at least $1500 by doing this and we have a plan:
- i will do some editing to the photos in the month after the wedding (prior to the honeymoon)
- have those printed (supa' cheap to do)
- then send those photos with guests Thank You Cards

BAM. You get your copy:)

enjoy the photos...just playing:)

can't you just NOT wait!!!!?!?!? Going to be amazing:):)

and yet again...

okay...I would NOT be showing you this if I were purchasing it...SO you know I'm not going to. But I was tempted. Seriously TEMPTED!!!

it's gorgeous and even though I came to my senses and am going to stick with the dress I already have for our Reception...this one had me thinking for justtttt a minute...or 24 hours...

i seriously still want to buy it but there's nothing I could do with it. You can't wear this to a Family Reunion or a Baby Shower and there's that pesky 'no wearing white to a wedding that's not YOURS' rule....I seriously even considered buying it for my imaginary daughter...someday she'll need a supa' cool prom dress (my imaginary daughter isn't going to be run of the mill...she's going to like vintage and cheap and everything I like;) OR for her very own wedding reception in...2040. Yep. It'll still be classy then:)

best lookin' shindig:)

i'm SO excited for the reception. I KNOW it's going to be perfect...especially because it's at my parent's land and I know they are really excited to make it perfect for us:)

below is the best barn wedding I've seen yet. And reminds me of how I'd like ours to turn out:
- lights outside
- dance floor outside...although after talking with my mom and sister, Pigg, we decided that it'd probably be best to keep the dance floor IN the building so that we don't split the event up too much. I'd hate to have NO one inside...especially since there will be food and drinks and a little photo booth and all that good stuff INside. SO thinking dance floor INside...some seating, tables and a fire outside:)

POINT: it's soooo purdy:)

all we're missing is a mountain:)

SO we realllllly wanted a band and that's not going to happen:( But I can look at pictures and be jealous:)

and this one just cause I have plates JUST like this and they rock!

sprinkle it onnnnnn.

a prettyyyyy wedddinggggg.

no. I haven't forgotten that I'm getting married in LESS than 4 months. HOLY SHIT! Jacob and I just got back from a walk and were talking about how his next weekend off (in JULY..arg) will most likely be when he plans his BParty. Holy CRAP!

PS. It's going to be pretty low key: cookout, paint balling and more cooking out and moderate drinking for my boy cause he's not no drinker. This I love...cause me loves me a drink and so yeah. Room for one drinker. That is I;)

POINT: Boy BParty means a wedding is nearing. WHATTT?!?!?!! Still feels like this day is not happening and how has the time passed so quickly!?!?!

UP me loves me some confettiiiiiiiiii!!!

UP what's that raised floor for?! JUST for the band...is that a raised dance floor?! Brainstorming what we should have at our reception. I would LOVE for the weather to cooperate and allow us to have our dance floor outside but I don't want peeps tippin' right off the edge while bustin' a move...hmmm

UP/DOWN dress love.

preview.

just to keep you on your toes....a little reception dress preview!
I found this beauty at Cache at MOA. Obviously, I want to leave something to the imagination, so I messed around with this a bit....but I think you can get just a little idea of what I'll be looking like on the night of my reception...

although this may actually be what you see if you spend too much time at the wine table;)

all about the greatness.

amazing wedding. Amazing photos. Amazing everything:)

how cute is that group photograph?! I'm not much for the posed shots and I'll actually be nixing the 'jumping' pose. But this...this I could handle!
oh, my lord. Googling 'little heart t's' online now!!!;) The kiddos have to wear these!
love love...Absolutely LOVE these little gloves. Googling those also. Taking the day off tomorrow to google the shiat out of this wedding:) Anddddddd now I want another tattoo:)

Gooddddd weather. GOD!!!

i'm not going to lie. It's now become a big deal to me to have this weather situation pan out. I want it to be semi-outdoor. I want dancing and lights outside and lights, food and fun inside too:)

above 2 images courtesy of Green Wedding Shoes via Wild Flowers Photos
more to come on this wedding. It's too great not to have its own post:)

I'm impressed with this WI photographer and WI wedding! And hello...did you notice that the dance floor is simply plywood?! It may be a heck of a lot less expensive than putting a whole patio in. We could even class it up just a tadddd and paint the plywood;)

close to right.

MOM. DAD. Take note:)

i love how laid back this wedding setting feels. The open shed-like building, high ceilings, twinkle lights. This is basically the vision I think my dad has in mind for our Reception and for their future home:) (Dad's going to start building their house and we're going to use that framed out building as our Reception Hall before they finish it). JUST so you know;)
jacob's a bit concerned about the space being tooooo small! But I think from just looking at these pictures, I'm reassured that small can be cozy! And as long as we keep some open walls...open doors...open spaces to the outside, I think it won't feel too jammed.
and how amazing would it be if the weather cooperates (PLEASE be correct Farmer's Almanac...Please..please pleaseeeeee *Fingers Crossed* and I've made sure my sisters children have added that to their nightly prayers;) and we can move SOME things outside?! GAWD...that would be amazing!!! I love that they set up a patio-type dance floor and having the music and lights outside, under the stars....that could be AMAZINGGGG!!!

you say bean bag, I say corn hole.

after a weekend family reunion, I've added CORN HOLE to our reception.

we had a great time seeing family. Family that we haven't seen in years and it was even more delightful to let our true colors shine with games of corn hole. Cussing and negative attitudes followed...Oh, and drinking:) (I'll try to round up some pictures later....my camera went dead. And instead of just not turning on or being dead the minute we pulled into the parking lot...it waited until me and Jacob went for a little nature walk and decided to grab a picture together on a beautiful day....THEN it turns on, we snap the picture - which turned out to be a bad one...those aren't few and far between - and THEN went dead. Immediately. Couldn't even turn it on to realize the picture sucked. No, we'd have to wait till we got home and recharged the battery to figure that out...So yeah. I killed it. Immediately).

none the less, corn hole was super fun and I've got some friends and, obviously, family that love the game. So I will round up a few for our reception site that I know will make for a great time. Already crossing my fingers for corn hole playing weather:)
