the way it goes:)

tonight we ate out...again. We started talking about some of the things we EXPECTED to happen, that didn't, while on this honeymoon. And some of the things that have happened...that we weren't expecting.

LIKE:
- we thought we'd be having a million picnics with wine, cheese, bread and amazing meat.

- we actually eat out almost EVERY freaking day. Hard on the wallet but fun to just walk 2 feet and find someone to feed you:)

- we thought we'd be getting our tattoos!!!

- i'm pregnant and we're afraid Jacob will get a disease. SO...our dreams of a Spain tattoo are on permanent hold;)

things have surely gone differently than planned, in only a few areas...but in a lot of ways they just differ slightly and not in negative ways:)

LIKE:
- we buy A LOT of fruit while out walking...and ice cream:) and then we sit somewhere and people watch (helloooo quick picnic:)

- since Jacob knows how disappointed I am about the tattoo...he lets me do shopping without giving me the puppy dog/guilty face:)

things have a way of working themselves out:)

view from Granada:)

just wrapping up our day here in Granada with a few more photos for your viewing pleasure:) How freaking adorable is that CAR!??!? OMG. If you love teeny cars...don't come to Spain cause I've (I mean...you'll;) found about 100 little cars that I've been begging Jacob to let me bring home with us!!!

we honestly can't believe that tomorrow we'll be at one of our 2 last destinations here in Spain! But we are feeling SO incredibly lucky that our time here hasn't flown by...OR crawledddd by. It's been seriously perfect!:) Have I mentioned that I have a lot of that 'perfect' shit now that Jacob's in my life?!

vomit...I know;)

UP okay...better idea of the 'tight squeeze' these busses are pulling in these little streets!!!
LEFT: bus making it's way towards us RIGHT: our reflection in the bus as it passes us (we're in a little doorway:)

UP/DOWN a small park-ish place we found....we decided that our yard must have one of those little horsey things (below) for baby Smith:)

jacob's photos...and video:)

there's really no introduction to this video. Jacob just loves taking video:) So here's a bit from a view that we found while wandering today. And also a little 'hi' from me:)

and tomorrow...tomorrow night, that is...we'll be in Valencia, Spain. At Hotel Ad Hoc Monumental! From the website, it reminds us a lot of the hotel we're at here in Granada. And since the hotel here in Granada ROCKS...we're hoping for the same tomorrow...especially after a 10 hr. bus ride:)

doors and pretty (illegal) paint:)

SURPRISEEEEE...more walking today;)
But today was nice because we even got up bright and early, went down to breakfast, did a few hours of walking and site-seeing and then back to the hotel - siesta for me...movie for Jacob:)

while out and about today, I took note of the gorgeous doors that you see every 2 feet! Love. Makes me want an oversized door...some wood, some with bars...for every room in our 'dream home':)

UP/DOWN jacob loves doors leading into open terraces, gardens and such. He especially loves them when there's a cat (aka. gato) behind them. He's even come up with a song: "gato, gato, gato I made you out of clay...gato, gato, gato now don't you run away"...yep, gotta love him:)

UP one of my favorites. Now it just needs a giant round knob in the middle:)

and in other news...they like to do a bit of graffiti around these parts. Well...most any parts. Sometimes it's eerily pretty. Other times...I'm wishing they'd give it a rest already!

jacob's photos:)

and now that I'm all rested and we're repacked...making room for a Granada purchase:) We can head out. Plan of attack for tonight....you guessed it. Ice cream and people watching and then back to our place for some scrumptious Honey Balls w/ Soy Milk and bed early for a LONG ass bus ride tomorrow! Eeeeeeekkk. Sad to say...my legs look forward to these bus rides, it gives them a bit of a break. Although, tomorrow's...almost 10hr. long bus ride...may be going a bit far! We shall see:)

tomorrow we'll be arriving in Valencia, Spain:)

night time street.

i had forgotten all about my Hipstamatic until last night...decided to take some photos of the street below our terrace. It's NEVER empty but I caught a one time deal with that photo...otherwise it's packed from morning....till that time again!!!

you can see below that cars ALSO move through there very often. Cars, buses...it's a tight squeeze. Everyone has to move to one side and jump up in doorways!

PS. i love our terrace:)

hoping to get some more night-ish photos when we have dinner shortly:)

cobblestone, soy milk, castles...oh, my:)

today we planned on being up early and at the top of the castle byyyyyy 8AM. Sooooo around 2PM we made it to the top;)
This is why we don't like committing to 'times';)

UP too cute not to stop and take a photo of! "No Worries" is right:)

UP we found a super cute little garden...or something:)

UP and then took tons of photos of ourselves in it...gotta love that self timer:)

UP and we finally made it to the top! Ice Cream was involved:)

jacob's photos:)

i love Jacob's camera angle!!

UP/DOWN but he does tend to get some really great/accidental shots:)

besides walking around today, we found stamps and did a bit of grocery shopping. We accumulated some things for our fridge:
- meat
- cheese
- bread
- Honey Balls (Granada's version of Smacks cereal:)
- drinkable strawberry yogurt (mistaken for milk for our Honey Balls!!)
- soy milk (also mistaken for normal milk for our Honey Balls...but soy will do:)

another successful day in Granada but it's not over quite yet. We plan to go downstairs for a small Tapas supper. I went down there this morning and had some hot chocolate milk - which reminded me of the stuff mom/sometimes dad makes on opening morning of deer hunting:) SOOOOOO good!!! And I also had a ham/cheese and tomato sandwich. I think I may have the same exact thing again. Just waiting for them to open after 8PM. Yep...a late dinner but we're SO excited for it:):)

the Honey Balls and soy just aren't going to do it tonight;)
