hell ride.

here we are...bright eyed and bushy tailed...completely naive about our upcoming bus trip. TEN.HOUR.BUS.TRIP. I think I was even quoted saying "I'm really looking forward to this 10 hr. bus trip:)".

long story short...stinky people will always - HEY..not sometimes....ALWAYS - sit right in front of you. No matter how many seats are available around you (this also applies to all public restroom stalls). RIGHT.IN.FRONT.OF.YOU. And hey...awesome...where was that breeze directly into my face 10 fucking MINUTES AGO!!!!!?!?!?!

holy hell. I didn't think reminiscing about this was going to bring up such hosility;) Wait. I did:)

POINT: it was rough and Jacob and I both hit our breaking points at different times on this trip.

Jacob's Break: around 4PM...his seat wouldn't lay back and there was a fly. ONE fly. And many fbombs. I've never been more glad that no one understood us or really cared we existed:)

MY Break: around 6PM..."he HAS to stop SOME TIME!?...we've stopped EVERY 1/2 hour (that's not an exaggeration) for the entire trip and NOW...at dinner time..he's not going to stop!? This is so INSANE!!! There's a BABY IN ME!!!! OMG. You did NOT kill that fucking fly!!!!!!"

UP jacob about 30 minutes before his break down. I assume him not being able to find a suitable sleeping position added to the break down;)

no surprise...but we survived the bus trip AND buying tickets for our next bus trip, to Barcelona, on Friday. We were SO lucky that there was a Spanish/English speaking man right in front of us in line.
My turn...I try to explain what we need (early on we found that it was brilliant to buy our bus ticket to the next destination BEFORE leaving the bus station...we rock;) and of course...NO English. Shiat.
The man in front of us, hearing the confusion, came back and was nice enough to translate for us...all the way up to helping us get it paid for and explaining the ticket once it was in hand. And he didn't steal ANYTHING from us:) I love amazing strangers:):)

after a 5 minute taxi ride - yep...we SO could have walked but it was dark and we were done after that bus ride - we arrived at our hotel. Thumbs UP:) Dropped our bags, took our hotel video for you lovely folks and then went in search of food. This woman was in desperate need of food. I didn't even take a photo of our yummies cause I pretty much didn't breath the entire time. My bad:)

and now we're going to download a movie to watch on the computer and call it a night. Phew. I feel so good when we're settled:)

how amazing is it that we're in Valencia, Spain!? The one upside of the bus ride was seeing SO many cities in between Granada and Valencia. We caught a glimpse of the ocean again and some serious mountains! Spain has been amazing and we're in shock that we're on our 2nd to last destination! We're just taking in every minute of it and enjoyingggggg:)

buenas noches!!!!:)

doors and pretty (illegal) paint:)

SURPRISEEEEE...more walking today;)
But today was nice because we even got up bright and early, went down to breakfast, did a few hours of walking and site-seeing and then back to the hotel - siesta for me...movie for Jacob:)

while out and about today, I took note of the gorgeous doors that you see every 2 feet! Love. Makes me want an oversized door...some wood, some with bars...for every room in our 'dream home':)

UP/DOWN jacob loves doors leading into open terraces, gardens and such. He especially loves them when there's a cat (aka. gato) behind them. He's even come up with a song: "gato, gato, gato I made you out of clay...gato, gato, gato now don't you run away"...yep, gotta love him:)

UP one of my favorites. Now it just needs a giant round knob in the middle:)

and in other news...they like to do a bit of graffiti around these parts. Well...most any parts. Sometimes it's eerily pretty. Other times...I'm wishing they'd give it a rest already!

jacob's photos:)

and now that I'm all rested and we're repacked...making room for a Granada purchase:) We can head out. Plan of attack for tonight....you guessed it. Ice cream and people watching and then back to our place for some scrumptious Honey Balls w/ Soy Milk and bed early for a LONG ass bus ride tomorrow! Eeeeeeekkk. Sad to say...my legs look forward to these bus rides, it gives them a bit of a break. Although, tomorrow's...almost 10hr. long bus ride...may be going a bit far! We shall see:)

tomorrow we'll be arriving in Valencia, Spain:)

hellllooooo Marbella:)

after a 3 hour bus ride yesterday, we arrived in Marbella, Spain! We passed some absolutely gorgeous white mountain side cities. The views were incredible! Both scary and incredible. This bus DID NOT slow down and we were literally on the edges of cliffs! Jacob and I counted 3 rusted out vehicles at the bottommmmmm of some of these cliffs we were passing by. That doesn't include the 'pieces' of cars and guard rails!

needless to say....back pain from straining to hold myself in my seat!!!

once we arrived in Marbella, we walked the 20-ish minutes from the bus stop to our hostal. We figured it'd save us some money (EX. we withdrew $180 from an ATM in Seville before leaving...looks as if the bank converted that to $246 - are you fucking serious?!?! SIDE NOTE: that's exactly right on our converter's so I'm just having one of 'those' moments;).
SO we need to just be more aware:):)

we were in much need of a day of relaxation so we went straight to the beach and sat there for a few hours reading books and just hanging out. Today we're actually going to swim:)

UP/DOWN photos Jacob took while I was collecting shells:)

today the internet is working! THANK GOD.

i smell toast and I wantsssssss someeeee!!!:)

okay. Off to the bus stop. Going to buy our tickets for our next part of the journey. On Saturday we head to Granada, Spain. And then we're taking my ass back to the beach for the remainder of the day:):)

bus ride to pretty land:)

yesterday we loaded up on a bus...about 10 of us total....which was SO nice! Space!!!! And we made the 8hr journey to Seville. I knew right away that I was going to love Seville. And as of Day 2, I'm still in love. Although, we haven't left our hotel room yet today. Oops:)

UP jacob and I on the bus. We assumed it would suck but it was actually a really relaxing day:)

UP the view if you step out of our hotel and look to your right. The tiny pathway leading to a million others:)

UP after walking or a little bit last night...looking for food (scavengers;)...we just walked out into an open/common area and this is what we saw. Pretty unbelievable to not know it's there and then to just walk right into it!

PS. let me know if you're unable to open these videos! I want to make sure they're working!!!:)

still looking for food...

UP and we found it. Here we tried Tapas for the first time. VERY good and we're very excited about how inexpensive it was. Still going to do some grocery shopping today - cause this lady is pretty much hungry 24/7 (shiat) but these tapas are a great alternative and won't leave us completely broke!!!

after dinner...and MORE ice cream. Man...it's SO freaking good! I crave it ALL.THE.TIME!!! We headed back to our hotel. We were unable to Skype with Family last night (grrrrr!!!!) but hopefully tonight.
And then we were up way too late watching shows on the laptop because nothing on the TV in our room comes in English. Shiat...again!

now...after sleeping in till the point of back pain...we're off to see more Seville:)!!
