i'm not going to lie. I'm obsessed with these 2 photos. I love the pairing of something a bit more dramatic - black and leather pants (pleather in my case;) - with a flowy, girly, chic top!
I think it would be a bit of a stretch but I don't think there's any reason this couldn't work for a New Year's Eve wedding.

even though it's Metro Style and these are REALLY all I could find...leather or not...that I actually somewhat liked. BUT they are actually the best leather pants that I could find out there!
