holy HELL. Just finished purchasing the majority of the Wedding Party gifts. Phew. I seriously worked myself up for a nap.

I thinkkkk it came out to be a tad cheaper than I had planned but I'm too afraid to add it all up and verify that because NOTHING about this wedding/honeymoon has ended up being cheaper than I had planned.

but everything is coming together EXACTLY as we wanted it too, if not better. So you won't hear any complaints from me (unless you're Courts, Neen, Pigg, Mal, Mom, GERD...the customer service rep for Aldo, Grocery Check-Out lady, my nieces and nephews, our dogs...strangers on the street;).

So yeah...I've been a bit 'vocal' about the wedding but I'm just a tightly wound person...stressing is my nature.

BUT I DO love to 'play it by ear' and 'see what happens'....which is why I'm SO beyond excited about our honeymoon because we'll be 'winging it' for 25 days...EEEEEEEEEKKKK!!!

okay...that paragraph, trying to convince you I'm supa' chill, kinda stressed me out;)

POINT: today I'm, basically, excited to being THAT much closer to having EVERYTHING about this wedding paid for so we can finally get back to some sort of savings normalcy:)

i'd like to post MORE pictures of the house and the wedding shower and the gifts I received and how beautiful everything looks....soon. Very soon my pretties!

and by soon, I mean Tuesday. That's when my Mac will FINALLY freaking be here! Arg. I could seriously take some time off work and track down that FedEx truck, punch him in the face and thank him very much for my Mac. I.Want.IT.NOW!!!...And by now, I mean yesterday!!!!!!

but for now...I'll do some light blogging from this Dell. Stupid Dell;)

did we register for pink flamingos?! Now way in hell.
did someone stray from the registry and get something we absolutely didn't need...say, pink flamingo's?! You're damn right.
did I plan on burning them until seeing this picture!? Next Saturday.

i will now let them live and they may even be welcome at our Reception. IF you don't see them at our reception...you can assume we got bored and decided to burn things;)

christmas festivities - part PRESENTS:)

it's no secret I'm a HUGE fan of the Hipstamatic feature on my iPhone, so I apologize for how many altered photos there are in this post. But they look SO artsy. Me loves artsy looking shots;)

SO I don't even know where to start with all the goodies I got! Most everything featured and just a fewwww things missing, like the luggage my soon-to-be mother-in-law (MIL) got us! How amazing will that be for the honeymoon!?!?!? THANK YOU!:)

row 1: - Gift Certificates and MORE Gift Certificates! aldo, scheels, BWW's, VS..oh, freaking my:) - the cutest little cups, adorable book and an amazing, simple, Gollllllld necklace from my mom! I seriously love this necklace!!! There's also a little jewelry-type container that I got from the MIL and what is best about it is that it was previously owned by Jacob's Grandma. There's nothing more I like than vintage/antique items, especially those with a history that traces back to our own family:)

row 2: - from my mom, my Spain Book and a small travel journal. SO sweet looking and the perfect size to keep in the purse as we're traveling to jot down quick notes and reminders of what we're seeing:) - Pigg out did herself with this gift! A Sephora GC and a beautiful necklace from For Love 21.

ahhhhhhh!! Mom killed it with the perfect personal items! Adorable finger-less gloves with the button up flap. A Spain book...perfect! I see myself losing a ton of sleep reading this book! I can't wait!!!! You also may not be able to see it but the little buttoned bag in the picture is an Envirosax. Seriously...go Green, GO buy these little bags. They're perfect and what's even more bizarre is that just hours prior to receiving this bag from my MIL-to-be, I was talking with my sister and cousin, Neen, about how I WANTED one! Ahhhhh. Christmas miracles come in all forms:)

hellllloooo...did I mention an Aldo GC?! I'm sureeee I did:) And with an MOA trip coming up at the end of March...holy lord...I'm anxious to say the least!!!

and my most prized possession. The bag that now holds all my Christmas gifts and will until I've gone to ALL my girlfriends' houses to show them all my pretties:)

My mom tracked down this bag on my blog and it was a longgggg time ago that I put that bag on there as want. I was SO surprised and SO happy to see it!!!

It's home now, where she belongs. I shall call her Precious!!;)

this bag will be used as my carry-on....for ANY vacation (remember: TX in May...Spain in October:) and as a perfect bag that I have at home...just there for me:)

although the presents were amazing...that's seriously not what it's all about. As Peyton (my oldest nephew) pointed out..."it's all about Jesus":) I don't know much on the subject but I'll take his word for it;)

I loved all my gifts and just can't believe how perfect all of the gifts were. Seems to me that we all took a bit of extra time to get it right this year but the bar has surely been set high for next year!

I just feel lucky that Christmas isn't an occasion where I get to see my family...I'm lucky enough to have that gift every day...IF I choose;)

christmas festivities - part dos.

next up is Christmas Day! It was a bittttt busy seeing as I worked 6am-9am and then tried to nap for an hour, which only had me wake up feeling like I had a hangover. What a waste when I didn't realllly have a hangover.

Then off to Courtney's to open presents with them, the kids, sisters and mom and dad!! Mom and Dad did SUCH a great job this year. I love everything I got. I.Mean.LOVE!!!

a late lunch-ish deal (courtesy of my amazing fiance - as Chris said "Jacob saved Christmas" with that meal;) and then I was back to work at 3pm.!

overall, I couldn't have asked for anything better for Christmas Day with my family! Amazing company, delicious food and we were lucky enough to receive thoughtful and generous gifts:)

me and my heart:) Notice the cute flower in my hair?! Not the perfect color but the band is gold, which I love and if I could find that with a white flower I MAY have my hair piece for the wedding. Courtney informs me that 'Santa' got it from Target. Brilliant:)

we do have one with dad but waiting on mom to email that to me! Gotta love the family photos!
