let it snow:)

little ride:)

big ride:)

when the weather finally warms up to a scorching 30 degrees here in Wisconsin...you can find us outside with huge smiles on our faces and frozen tears on our cheeks!;')

we finally got outside with Homer last weekend and enjoyed a few hours of walking and sled riding! Homer loved it...according to the huge smile on his face the entire time!!:):) Jacob and I laughed that Homer probably hadn't seen the sun or fresh air in about 3 months at that point!!!! That may not be too much of an exaggeration!!!:/

and boy did that fresh air do him some good...he followed our outing up with a 3-1/2 hour nap. Which is pretty unheard of now-a-days!:)

attached are some videos of us playing! Try to concentrate on my son's happy grin and not our horrible 'overly cautious/excited' mom and dad voices;)

my definition of happy: above:)

my definition of sexy: my husband being a dad:)

anyone else out there totally annoyed with the fact that those boots. snow-pants. jacket. will all have to be replaced next year?!?! They grow-up too darn fast! Arg. Have I mentioned how excited I am for garage sale/thrifting/flea market season!??!:):)

my definition of awesome parents: "should we try hooking him to the dog???"..."uhhhh....yes!"

i hope you're all figuring out a way to survive these cold Wisconsin days!!!:)

a first: sled ride:)

oh, Wisconsin...you rocked it today! 30-ish degrees. No wind. AWESOME!!!

today we broke out Homer's new sled, from Christmas, and walked to pick Lukey up from school:) Homer really loved it - you may not be able to tell from these photos - but he was smiling so much!!:) And then he almost fell asleep on the walk home!

luke had so much fun pulling him! He actually pulled him all the way home:)

okay...he was leaned to the side cause he was falling asleep. Kinda looks like he's incapable of holding himself up in some of these photos;) Have I mentioned that he's a huge bum!?;)

bring on the snow and x's and o's.

now that we've gone off and been bitten by the love photo bug...or should I say...I HAVE....I want more!!! And MORE!!!;)
There are soooo SO many amazing ideas out there and not only would it give Courts a chance to practice, find unique locations and get us comfy in front of the lense in preparation for the upcoming wedding (338 DAYS PEOPLEEEE!!!;)...but...well, that's that. It would be all those things and fun...mostly for me;)

at the moment I'm thinking winter. We wait till the snow flies and then get comfy cozy with soem boots (which are on my wish list - see here:), mittens, rosey cheeks and some coffee.

PS. Just thought of a great location - Courts...can you read my thoughts...coffee...scarves, mittens, picking up some coffee...?!?!

frosty weddings (all links to photographers are at this site)

PS. I've never wanted to get married in the winter MORE than I did after looking at that site. The idea of wearing some adorable fozzy boots under my dress and having any excuse to wear faux fear on the day I get married....yes. I'll take a winter wedding please:)

warm and fozzzzy.

the new mission: winter boots.
Where I work they have a shortage of snow shovelers and so sometimesssss when I get here before the sun comes up, there's no path and if there had ever been a path to the door, it's now covered with 3 feet of snow.
I think my work also has a shortage of heat. And so unless I want to sit in my cubby ALL day feeling like I've just gone for an ice cold dip....I need to find a way to get TO the building without being drenched to the knees!
ASOS $151.65

these are obviously a MUST. They aren't completely realistic for walking on winter nights or for trekking my way into work in the wee hours of the morning. BUT for going out...eating dinner with my honey near a fire at a nice restaurant...playing Rummy500 on a winter night and wearing them just cause they're SO freaking pretty - yes, for those occasions they're perfect and worth every bit of the $151.65 (plus shipping:).
PS. They're ROCKET DOGS....and we (me and my sisters) LOVE us some ROCKET DOGS!!!!

adorable...cute details and price is right. BUT the Ugg look has been done. AND done. Wait....AND DONE!

obviously I'd be buying these to win my dad's approval. Sorels. And he'd spot these coming a mile away and possibly love me more:) BUT besides that...I love them. They'd actually be PERFECT for getting around town when needed and for my morning walk into work. Man...they'd look SO cute hanging out in my cubby with me!!!

sploosh shoes $100-ish

these are simple and adorable and AS much as I love those freaking Sorels and having my dad love me most;)...I might have to throw all that out the window for these puppies! They are sleek and good looking and I think they look like something I could take nightly winter walks in and STILL get to the building super dry:)
