ohhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyy gawwwwdddddddd. So I'm pregnant and gonna have a babyyyyyyyy. Out of my vaginaaaaaaaaa - hopefully;).

i've been dreaming about all things birth. Going into labor. What the baby will be. How this situation will go down. When it'll go down. Good gosh...I'm excited:):) This really never gets old!!!! I may have even had a 'talk' with Jacob the other night about how I just don't think I can be done at 4. I told him that the thought of ONLY having one more is just too sad...it doesn't feel right. I can't stand the thought of this baby being the last before THE.LAST. He may have been sleeping but I'm choosing to believe that his silence was a green light...a 'whatever you want, my heart!' 

SO pumped to be on the same page;)

i'm still thinking it's a girl...but I mean...it COULD be a boy and I'd just be so shocked if it was!!!!! OMG. Have I mentioned how OUT.OF.CONTROL. excitedddddddd I am to find out!??!?!!?

Jacob and I finally had a minute to ourselves and got as far as bringing up the fact that we have nothing definite in regards to a girl name...so that conversation still needs to be had!

this has been a good 2 weeks:) Courts has been pulling out some 'trick photography' and taking magical photos of me...the kind that make me think: "I don't look like I've already gained 45lbs AT.ALL!!!!!"

It's the confidence boost that you need at this point:)

the weight below is actually from today's appointment - 37weeks 2 days.

start weight: 136lbs

current weight: 178lbs

total weight gain: 42lbs

*for reference...I've gained a solid 55lbs with both of my previous pregnancies - pausing for gasps;)*

with all that being said...I feel great and have no problem with the amount of weight I've gained thus far or will gain from here on out. Bring it on!!!!;)

wardrobe

sooooooo I need to shower more...that might motivate me to look better...feel better...put on non-dirty/pj/yoga clothes!??!?

baby buys

nothing to report! I am headed on our annual MOA trip - MOA - this coming weekend, so I'm sure I'll find a cute hat or sweater or somethinggggg for the baby there. But otherwise...nothing fun besides a used car-seat:) 

BUT I am planning a baby and me trip to a few stores a few weeks after the baby arrives, once we've settled in and I'm going stir-crazy:)

Bring on the compliments people!!!! I kid;) I'm feeling great. I think there's bound to be a few funks throughout the process and gaining 55lbs can take its toll on anyone;) I really am enjoying this pregnancy so much:)

not too many names this week! Friend suggested Oakley in a recent Weekly Baby Name Email. Of course we'd already considered that - great minds;) 

Homer's named after his great grandfather, Jacob's grandpa - Homer William Smith (and Oakland was his Confirmation name...whatever that means...but somewhere in that Jacob had suggested Homer Oakley Smith). When we were trying to decide on a name for Homer...Oakley got thrown around but never landed on the list.

right now we're kinda shifting around middle names...I think we have a prettyyyyy good idea on the names we love. We've narrowed it down and now we wait:)

Wait...the belly. Yes. It's pretty big. Sometimes I feel like I'm WAY bigger than I was with Homer and then I check the stats and we're coming in pretty close to the same...SO yeah. Thank the lord;)

thanksgiving happened. Fast food continues to happen. I can't stop eating candy. I'm still trying to figure out how to blame Jacob for my inability to stop eating. I'm open to suggestions;)

current weight: 161lbs

total weight gain: 24lbs

wardrobe

i'm still making things work. We went out for dinner with friends last night and I felt pretty adorable:)

baby buys 

i did get a few things while on our Annual MOA Trip a few weeks ago. I'll have to get a post up on that soon. 

I got a boy and girl outfit to bring the baby home in...depending on what sex comes out:)

Jacob fell in love with this beanie Courts found for us...so of course we splurged on that:) Girl OR boy...baby will be wearing that home:)

SIDE NOTE: homer had photos in the Hospital with his Yoda Hat on...and this baby will most likely have Hospital photos in a Bacon Beanie. Totally normal. Totally awesome;)

and besides all that...I want to shop. Uhhhhhh Lot. Likeeeeee uhhhhhh LOT. A lot. It's a problem I don't want to solve;)

converses jacob and I got these for Homer for his 1st Birthday 5/12. Finally fitting:) We normally wouldn't pay full price for something like this but I just love them. Already scored a pair from an IG Store for only $8 - black high top converses for his 2nd birthday:)

okay...I haven't done ANY shopping since before our Florida trip...maybe even a few weeks prior to that. SO we're going on abouttt 8 weeks of no shopping. For an addict someone who prefers shopping over not shopping;)...that is farrrrrr too long!!!

SO digging through all the little boy clothes available online right now...bad idea. Terrible;)

this little car has alone, made all this child's dreams come true! Who would have thought;) He's been super sick of the stroller for at least a few months. We haven't bitten the bullet and invested in the whole 'bike situation' yet. SO my sister, Mal, gave me this thingggggg. I remember her pushing her boys in it when they were much younger...and being annoyed with it then;) Keeping in mind this was before I even thought I'd want kids.

for whatever reason. He loves this thing. He pretty much looks like and feels like and actsssss like a king in it. I'm able to get a walk in without him twisting his body out of the stroller straps and screaming and throwing his sippy cup at passing cars.

this kid is growing like a weed! I feel like most days, I hardly recognize him! 

i went for a walk with my girlfriend yesterday and we were talking about 'who our kids look like - mom  or dad'. We both agreed that we had a hard time telling most of the time. And we also agreed that most of the time, even after having them for a few months (me having Homer for 13 months and her having her son for 6 months:)...we still have a hard time believing they're even ours!

although, I do believe he's mine when he's throwing a massive fit in Target...but I deny that he's mine when someone walks by and gives me that 'poor you' smile! I mostly just say quietly..."who left their screaming baby in the middle of the women's shoe isle??? weirdddd." ;)

ahhhhhh, he's not thattttt bad...or is he? I'm now at work...missing him...so my memory is playing tricks on me;)

i feel like I've been keeping Homer from you! Tucking away his cuteness for only myself! But no more! Here he is folks! How he got this way...no one knows. The cuteness came from a magical place. The biting and attitude...that may have come from us;)

seeeeeee. Believe it or not...I don't spend all of our hard earned money at Target;) I do a lot of thrifting and I would say that 60% of Homer's closet is 2nd hand/thrifted/garage sale finds. That's something I'm proud of:) And I do hope that someday ,when all his friends are renting $150 tuxes for Prom, he'll be happy wearing his dad's cool old jacket and tie or finding something super original in a 2nd hand store for a fraction of the price!:)

this kid is so dang special in so many ways already:) I can't wait to see what he becomes!

oh, Homer's Nap Time, you are too good to me;) I've been getting a wee bit of blogging in. Laundry going. House is clean. Dishes are done. I'm hoping for a shower yet...but even if that didn't happen...it will still have been an amazing run;)

jacob and I have decided that Homer wasn't too real, up until this point. Now he does...stuff. He moves around. He grabs at things. He talks. Oh man...he talks...and screams;) And makes faces. Funny faces!! And he just lights up when he sees people that are familiar to him! Especially, when Jacob gets home from work:) 

I surely miss the baby phase but I'm loving watching him turn into an independent little boy:)

our little man is gaining more and more personality every day! We thought maybe his recent fiestiness may be due to his eye-teeth coming in...sadly, no teeth...he may just be fiesty in general;)

lately, we've been hunkering down. Keeping Homer on a pretty solid schedule, which has given us all more sleep and smiles;) And every day...we remind ourselves how much closer we are to SPRING. Which means more walks and pool parties at Courts with Mal and all the kiddos and heading to the beach and being outside! We can.not.wait!!!!

we got this little Brewer shirt for Homer when he was just a teeny baby! I never, honestly, thought he'd get big enough to fit into it:/ But here we are! Jacob and I are really hoping we can take Homer to his first Brewer Game this summer!!! Or at the very least...get Gram's (mom;) to watch him for a night so we can go ourselves...of course, we'll tell Homer alllll about it when we get home;)
