lisbon to lagos.

i decided to give my hand a break from writing out checks for the wedding and come up with some ideas of what we can do while we're on this amazing honeymoon of ours.
I'm surely not 'planning' anything...but I've been searching for ideas of what we can do while we're at each location and then we'll kinda just figure the rest out when we get there. Like how we'll get to these fun/beautiful places that I found online.

the photos below, all courtesy of Trip Advisor, are of Lagos, Portugal. It's about 3 hours from Lisbon, Portugal. The first stop on our Honeymoon.

my idea for this possible day trip - Lisbon to Lagos - would be to rent a car and drive down the coast. I've found that renting a car is very close in cost as riding the bus. SO why not rent the car and be able to have a bit more freedom!?

now...these photos are amazing and they're straight from traveler's just like us. BUT if you want to see why I wanted to come to Lagos in the first place, check out W+E Photographie. If it weren't for the way she captured Lagos, I would have nothing to do with it;)

and below is the trail we'd take in our compact rental to Lagos:)

etsy.

i have been thinking lately of starting a weekly Etsy post or possibly just a general post about Etsy every now and again when I find something cute. And it'll probably be more often than not because I go on there daily and find cute stuff NONstop!!

i'm still working out what I'll call it and maybe - etsy. - will stick. But I'll be brainstorming...in the mean time, check out what goodness I've stumbled upon:

Happiness Factory - 8x10 $16
Free Hugs, We're Open - 8x10 $16
Archival Print - 13x19 $22

want it sunday.

another MUST have added to the list from Etsy. They're KILLING me over there at Etsy. Just got done making a small purchase, for a girl friend's bridal shower, this morning. Luckily it was under $6:)

but I may not be so lucky to keep it under $40 this time around. I've been craving a world map of any sort to get up on the wall. Me and Jacob have done a lot of traveling over the last year and I've gone some cool places well before that and I have a ridiculous urge to make sure I get that tacked onto the wall As.Soon.As.Possible! Why...I have no clue?! I'm sure our dogs and cat won't be impressed and I can guarantee our roommate won't be. Apparently he's more interested in dodging rent for 8 days. Grrrrr. Actually I'm not too mad about that. IF anything his rent is single handedly paying for our wedding. That REALLY weirds me out. Guess we'll have to buy him....a drink or something?!;)

on to it. See below for OrqueShaw's walldecor. Adorable in every way and I know there's somewhere in everyone's home that they could throw something like this up on the wall!
Now I'm up to needing my wall collage AND the world map.

World Map $39
Winter Tree $34.65

Beautiful Daisy's $29.99

LOVE & FOLLY.

anotherrrrr fantastic idea from Love & Folly. Soon I'll have to give her credit for my entire wedding! But isn't this map the freaking cutest!? I was thinkingggg, inspired by her map, that it'd be nice to draw a little map to help our guests get from point A (the hotel) to point B (the reception site)...granted they are both on the same road and our town is super small...I think if I were standing on the roof of the reception site (which doubles as my parents home) and Jacob were on the roof of our house in town....we could blow kisses to each other.
So yes...I realize the map is completely useless. BUT...cuteness will prevail. I will have my map and my cookies too!!!!

want it.

you may think I'm wanting a lot lately...and you may be correct. I've got a hugggge urge to go shopping and I made a deal with the Devil last night (A.K.A - J). He wanted to go play video games till the break of dawn...and by break of dawn...I meannnn the break of dawn. He rolled in shortly before 5a.m. this morning. WOW. That's some serious gaming.
Am I NOT the best fiance in the world...yes, I know I am.
SO I sensed last night that he was very much wanting to go spend some time with his buddies (if you can count staring into a computer screen for hours on end without speaking a word to anyone but some random 15yr. old from Guatemala, 'spending time with your buddies')...SO I proposed that we make a deal! Famous last words:)

DEAL: I be cool with him coming home at dawn, after playing video games for abouttttt 6 hours straight....I get to go shopping.
Thank you very much.

SO to wrap things up. I've been eyeing up maps lately. I'm unable to find exactly what I need on Etsy...or I'm sure I'd get it there. BUT eventually we will have an office of sorts and I want to hang this map, from Crate and Barrel, on the wall.
I plan to put pins w/ labeled tags of the places we've traveled on it....one of the many things that me and J see on to eye on is traveling. We want to do it, kids, no kids...lots of kids. We'll be traveling for the rest of our lives!

PS. Oh my Christ (PPS. I'm not a religious person...so that makes it okay for me to say that;)...this map is ONLY $19.95. This is happening!
