every where a sign.

as seen in an older post...we decided to do some signs for the wedding. An added project but something that adds something cute to our reception site.

AKA. pointless and really helps no one find anything...but apparently I must have it;)

OLDER POST - regarding signage:)

so now what shall the signs say!? Must make sure they make sense to any and ALL guests:) Maybe throw some Spanish in there since we'll be visiting Spain...ah, the possibilities are endless:)

a friendly reminder.

these 2, wonderfully clever, ideas from Big Mouth Bride got me thinking about how I WAS thinking I had most of the little details done...LIKE: favors, jars, flowers...
But now that I see these little signs...I realize I want little signs too (cue the stomping feet;).

but in all seriousness. I want little signs.

i don't think it'll be too hard of a task....most likely I'll pass this on to my friend and she'll just print them up with everything else we have going on. But I almost think they're needed, nope..they are needed.

we do need to remind the guests that I WANT the pictures they take of me! Don't just tag me on Face Book...grrr. Send them to me. Email or download. And I knowwwww I've got some girly friends out there that never leave home or attend a social event without a camera!:)

and this sign is just a Must. It'll be perfect for the favor we just came up with. It's a bit of a fun form that I'd like the guests to fill out. Super quick and you can be as funny or lame as you'd like. BUT this may be the way to get them to fill it out. Tell them to have a great time, we love them, thanks for coming and do Whatever you'd like on our property - JUST FILL OUT THE DAMN FORM!!!!!

do as we please.

there's better than starting a long work week with a super adorable DIY wedding, found on Style Me Pretty, that seems to SCREAM Casey and Jacob:)

i love that there's a lot going on at this wedding or at least this chalkboard is trying to make you think there is! AND we will have a Photo booth. And we will have a Bar. And we will have Dessert. AND we will have Dancing....We will also have this chalkboard spelling that out for you:)

PS. Those pretty flowers were from Sam's Club. What the hell!? I've been lucky enough to find that we can get ours at a Farmer's Market for under $50. UNDER $50 for bouquets, ceremony flowers AND reception flowers. Awesome deal...but if Sam's Club can give them a run for their money....
this reminded me of Jacob's love of Guinness. I have less love for Guinness.

ahhhh. A bride with a watch. Be still my heart:)

so you can find us:)

it just occurred to me that besides the millions of small details I've been concentrating on for wedding decor and jewelry and the right bracelet and the perfect ring and the jars that look great together but don't match too much and the fabric that will look best in our photo booth...I've gotten away from some more obvious details. LIKE:
- if our DJ is good (we will be wedding crashing soon:)
- who's bringing the alcohol and how much?
- how will our guests FIND US!!!????

luckily some good friends of ours are getting married soon and she's been a great sound board for me. We love talking wedding and she lets me leave long winded voice mails where I start at the beep loving one thing and then get cut off while changing my mind! She's a trooper;) AND has a seriously long voicemail, which allows me to lose myself in my own conversations...with myself...this is unfortunate for Carrie and, she assures me, quite amusing:)

SO after attending her and her fiance's Wedding Shower over the weekend and seeing some seriously big faces of them plastered on the Welcome Signs...I decided I must have me and Jacob's faces enlarged...at every and all opportunity! And since my friend (that's her actual name - Friend;) can print these for me...you will be seeing our big faces every where come our wedding:)

these signs are adorable and that picture, if you knew this couple, is SO them! And that's what makes it that much more perfect. SO I was thinking we'd run with this. We only really need about 3 of these signs...maybe just 2...but my thought was to have me and Jacob pose and point in the direction people need to go. SO we'll actually be pointing and posing...
Okay...so I think you get that. But how cool could that be!

i think very:)

i saw the sign....good tune!

my sister, Pigg, had a great idea the other day...wedding related...which is a shock cause I think Pigg wants my wedding to go to hell;) I totally kid. BUT I love the idea of Wedding Signage.
At this point I'm not sure where we'd put signs. Pigg's idea was to create something similar to the sign post you see when you frequent your cabin 'up Nort'. LOTS of signs on one post. I really love that look. Most likely something outside of the entrance OR right inside the door in a lit area...pointing you in the direction of the pottys, snacks, picture booth (currently trying to come up with something besides 'photo booth' to call our SMILE HUT...oh, man...that could be it!!), wine, water & juice pouches (must have the pouch...or they'd never understand;), for our guests, gifts, cards, gettin' down/dancing/the robot....

obviously there are many ideas roaming my mind for potential signs.
What I'm leaning towards most right now is just a barn board piece of wood and then we'll just throw some chalkboard paint on right in the middle. SO it'll look kindaaaa sloppy, kinda totally cute:) And then we'll write on that.

our goal is to make sure your ace doesn't get lost between the SMILE HUT and the wine table;) We are only looking out for your safety and well being!!!

etsy.

i have been thinking lately of starting a weekly Etsy post or possibly just a general post about Etsy every now and again when I find something cute. And it'll probably be more often than not because I go on there daily and find cute stuff NONstop!!

i'm still working out what I'll call it and maybe - etsy. - will stick. But I'll be brainstorming...in the mean time, check out what goodness I've stumbled upon:

we like odd.

i'm not exactly sure what it is that has drawn me to these pictures but I love them. I can see specific places in the house where I'd like them. Maybe intermingling with family pictures and kids' drawings on my photo collage wall (PS. I need to start collecting mismatched antique and vintage frames cause I just can't do the matching black ones from Target. I tried and I failed. I put them up and there are still 11 nails sticking out of one wall where I couldn't commit. Frick.).

man. They're just so cool. And they're somewhat odd and that has me thinking that they'd fit in perfectly at our place. They're inspiring to me.

favor table.

the main reason for this post was the photo on the left. The one on the right just seemed to tag along!!! But since I'm trying to tie in the idea of the chalk boards....I love when I see them set-up in order to help guests figure out what certain things are. For Example, we can use smaller chalk boards for:

- cupcake flavors
- favors (1/ wine glasses - we'd like to have a 'wine area' where you can take AND keep a wine glass that may have something etched onto it, PS. I've slowly been collecting wine and then drinking it...so this project may not end up happening;) - 2/ CD's - we've spent many a fun and romantic and emotional night (the emotional part is 100% me:) listening to music that means something to us to burn to CD's for people...YAY!)
- drinking area
- porta potty area
- snacks area
- vintage suitcase card holder

and on and on and on:) I just love that things are starting to fall into place!

for snail mail.

THE most adorable little cards....note cards or greeting cards. They've actually inspired my most recent wedding invitation idea. I love the grayish background with the pattern and even the text says 'fun' to me. BUT still classy-ish..well, classy may not be the right fit here. BUT it's adorable looking!
