giving thanks.

i'll start by saying that it's been a super shitty few weeks for our household. BUT I'll follow that with:

i'll then add, that I'm a huge whiner;)

HAPPY THANKSGIVINGGGGGGG. 

okay. SO I won't leave you hanging on that whining thing. I'm gonna prove it by telling you all about why shit sucks just a bit and then I'll quickly follow it up with the fact that I don't care about any of it and we're good and love is all you need...blah blah blah;)

blah.

crap. I'm already exhausted of myself. SO I'll just say this. Bad things do happen in 3's. 1. bad news. 2. more bad news. 3. Theo chokes. Big time. Like...call the ambulance, big time. She doesn't kid. I'm still sick about it. Long story short. My sister, Courts - who, like my other sisters, Mal and Pigg - is an EMT. She saved Theo. She doesn't like me saying that. I don't like saying that either, cause that means Theo needed saving. And that makes me want to puke. But Theo's okay now. She wasn't for about 6 minutes. 6 of the longest, most scary minutes of my life. But now she's okay. I'm not sure I'm okay cause I'm constantly scared for her life now. Before...nothing could happen to her. Apparently, that was my attitude. NOW. Everything coulddddd happen to her. Arg. But every day it's getting a bit better and I'm trusting that she's going to be okay and that was just a fluke. Not cool, Theo:/

so there you have it. We're so very thankful that our baby girl...all of us...are here and happy and healthy. SO very grateful.

we spent another Thanksgiving with our nearest and dearest. One of our friends was in from out of state and we spent some awesome time with him. So fun to get out of the house for a few hours and laugh!

in hindsight...I really didn't need to slam oneeeeee more Southern & Diet Dew before leaving the bar at midnight. Especially, when I had to work at 6AM on Thanksgiving morning...so yeah. Gross. And surprisingly, it's the first Thanksgiving that I thought was going to result in me vomiting at the end of a family member's driveway...or worse;) A slight hangover...plus the MOST amount of food my body could handle...proved to be too much. Too.Much. When will I learn?!?!?;)

following tradition, we spent Thanksgiving up at my Aunt & Uncle's. And again...it was fantastic. I say it every year...but I'll say it again. It's my favorite. We all love and look forward to this day every dang year!:)

even with the growing number of kids in attendance...it's just a great and relaxing time. Amazing food. Good company. Yummy wine.

one of the kids got a hold of the camera and got some great shots of the end of our night. We were all in good spirits - although, I wasn't touching any food or drinks at that point. I diddddd eat about 27 baby carrots. SO there's that.

this Thanksgiving Jacob was able to join the festivities at my Aunts house for the first time...usually he's hunting. But we had the gathering later this year because me and my sister were working that day. Boo:(

as usual/expected...amazing food and we filled up FAST! I had my one glass of wine:) And most of the drive home we talked about how that get together only gets better after each passing year!

(the other portion of the drive home was spent talking about giving birth. So you can imagine what my dreams were filled with!!! blahhhh;)

i've also been working on some ideas for a Christmas Card...just need to decide if I want to use a photo we already have (wedding/honeymoon) or get Courts to take a new one. So far this year we've had pretty mild weather...so I'm hoping we get a bit of snow in the next week so that we can get a more festive photo to use...and god forbid the doggies not be included;)

another successful Thanksgiving has come and gone!

An amazing amount of tasty food and an inappropriate amount of AMAZING wine;) I'm a girl who loves tradition and I've always loved the traditions that surround the Holidays. I already look forward to next year...I'll be celebrating those Holidays as a married woman. That gets me teary eyed!!!! And I'm also high-fiving myself for figuring out a way to make this post about my wedding;)

feeling beyond thankful at the moment. We couldn't be luckier:)

hard to believe we've come back around to Thanksgiving...AGAIN! As Jacob would say - "It's the Circle of Life":).

at this very moment I'm sitting at work...very quiet morning so far and I'm only scheduled to be here until 10a.m. Luckily:) Jacob's out hunting and my oldest nephew, Peyton (10yrs.), joined him today to observe!:) In a couple hours I'll be at home getting ready to head to the first of three Thanksgiving get togethers!!! I'm beyond excited for some wine and good company!

i'll end this post with a Good Day list. What better way to kick off THANKSgiving (pun intended;) than to list some things I'm thankful for!!

good day cause:

- my car is still running (I will copy & paste this into every 'good day' post until it shuts down)

- jacob puts up with me. FYI. I've been an asshole at least twice a week for the last 2 weeks...that's FOUR times too many to be an asshole. Especially to Jacob. I feel bad...step 1. Admitting I have a problem;) - "Hi, I'm Casey...I'm an asshole".

- i'm not hungover:) Thanksgiving Eve has been known to kick a few asses!

- i get to spend today with my amazing and healthy and FUN family!!

- we are fortunate enough to both be working full-time, bringing in two incomes. Seems a rarity in this economy:(

- my oldest sister/MOH, Courts, is going to be having a baby soon!!!! T-minus 15 days!!!!:):)

- the 2 pair of pants I ordered didn't fit...this IS good cause I spent too much and just knowing that they'll be back in the mail on Friday and I'll be getting my mola back...phew, the guilt is slowly fading!:)
