whatever will be...will be:)

que sera, sera = whatever will be, will be

this is the kinda thing I'd love to find IN Spain. But thanks to A Lovely Escape...I can make this when I get home:)

perfect honeymoon reminder. perfect life reminder. and could also be a great tattoo. WHICH reminds me. The little situation in my stomach put a bit of a pause on my tattoo plans. I had plannnnnned on getting a quick tat while over here but that will now have to wait and I'm SUPER bummed because it was Spain/Love/Honeymoon related...so it just won't be the same getting an 'Amor' tattoo in La Crosse, WI (US). But it may be the only way....

BUT don't get me wrong little one (in my stomach)...you're a fantastic reason to wait:)

tattoo itch.

i've been throwing a lot of ideas around for new tattoos. Don't get me wrong...I am Caaaarzzzy about tattoos but I know that I only want to get a handful more and I keep them nice and small. Super simple. So you won't be seeing me laying around anywhere in my knickers with my full body tats hanging out...lucky for you;)

but I do know that I'll be adding a few more in the near future.

And the ones I know I'll be getting:

1/ me and Jacob's wedding date...on the inside of my elbow.

2/ if children are involved in the future...I'll add their dates of birth under our wedding date.

3/ something in Spain. Still undecided whether this will be my wedding date or if I'll get that in the weeks prior to the wedding and save Spain for something completely new!!!

and so comes the inspiration. I'm SO antsy for a new tattoo that I have a feeling I'll be getting our wedding date prior to the wedding. So come hell or high water...we WILL be getting married that day;)

so since the wedding date is already taken...I'll need a new idea for while we're in Spain...

UP love the idea of the tattoo wrapping around the arm (and not barbwire;). Preferably text or just a thin line?!

DOWN if you're not already aware, me and Jacob have matching tattoos on our...left sides...I think!? eeek. We need to get a photo of us both with the tattoo...the artsy type shot below could work. But it needs to be much less 'sex' and much more 'coverage' and still look amazing. Can you make that happen Courts?!;)

UP a bunch of great inspiration:)

UP/DOWN these 2 are pretty much in the running for my Spain tattoo. Placement anyway. But what it'll end up being...I'm not exactly sure. BUT I do know that I Love the look of them both.

DOWN and if the above 2 don't pan out...the collar bone is beautiful.

ahhhh...me loves an amazing tattoo and I love each and every one of mine more than the last!

in permanent ink.

me and Jacob had a fantastic weekend!!!! I had off from waitressing on Friday night and this only made it THAT much more clear that I'll love having my Friday nights back someday. So hopefully waitressing will be a thing of the past sooner than later!

saturday I got to do some walking, hanging out with family and then we had a nice day in town together. Went and got matching tattoos, as you can see above! I wasn't really going to post much about it and I probably won't until we get a really great shot of the 2 of us together with them....until then:)
It was a great experience. Jacob's face seriously scared me into thinking I wouldn't be able to go through with it. I mean...the kid was in a good amount of pain! But I have to give him credit for getting this tattoo where we got it...and that's pretty gutsy for his FIRST tattoo:)
I soon found out that his face wasn't lying...he was when he said 'it wasn't THAT bad'. At moments it felt like the needles were vibrating off my rib cage. VIBRATING off the bone. Wow.
It was worth it and it's more than worth it to have this with Jacob. And his reaction has been one that I never would have thought. He's excited about it. Reallllly excited. I can't get him NOT to throw up his shirt at complete strangers. He's proud and I couldn't be prouder to be linked to him forever:)

after the tats we made a quick Menard's stop and then had dinner together. We ended the night with a wedding reception with friends and it was a great time.
I feel like I've been killing it with my most recent wedding reception outfits and it worked out perfectly that I had forgotten my black heels at home because I found these cuties at Target last minute and I think they made the outfit:)
Unfortunately for Jacob he was ridiculed by drunks about his 'cowboy-ish' shirt and addressed only as 'partner' and with a southern accent ALL.Night. Poor kid;)

all in all a great night. Followed up with sleeping in and breakfast at a place in town. We were even seated at the same booth that we sat in when we first started dating. It brought back nothing but good memories and we were happy for the coincidence.

i've said it before and I'll say it again. There are cynics out there that may think that me and Jacob getting those tattoos is silly or even stupid. BUT we believe and isn't that what it's all about?! Isn't believing that what you have is more special, better, stronger than the rest exactly what you need to think in order to keep going? Cause if you don't believe that, well...that kinda sucks...doesn't it?!.
Luckily...an EVERY day luckily...I have Jacob. And he never stops surprising me, amazing me. Just when I think I have it all figured out...Jacob shows me how much better it can be.
SO you don't have to get matching tattoos to feel that way...that's just crazy;) But yeah...we're a lot of crazy and I wouldn't have it any other way!

it is SO on.

so I'm slacking on 'wedding' stuff but I'll get back there in a bit!
I have more exciting news! Me and Jacob may have decided on our tat!!! Eeeeeeeek! So I don't want to go into it too deep. I have difficulty keeping things that I love underwraps and eventually, after we've gotten the tats, I'll be sneaking in on Jacob in the shower or sleeping or mowing the lawn to get a quick picture of his so I can post it for everyone to see!
BUT it is personal and so I'm going to try and stop myself from introducing it to everyone....all the time!:)

but for us it means SO much. It's as good as a marriage cause it means being tied together forever. And obviously we're excited about that:)

so this is just a few little somethin' somethin's that I put together last night for us to look at and we've narrowed it down. Now to make the appointment and actually do this thing!! EeeeeeK!!!!!

sorry about the shitty photos...they're off my iPhone...MY iPHONE!;)

and Neen, thanks SO much for putting in some time to give me some ideas! It definitely helped!!!!

and maybe for those who are unaware...we will be Smiths. I will be a Smith on September 8th, 2011! HOLLLLLY Crap!!!:) And since getting back together in February of 2009 we have this kinda silly thing we do every time one of us is having a rough day, rough minute or just being a biatch (that's where I come in;)...so we stop...wherever we are - on the side of the road while in the middle of our nightly walk...and just 'hug it out'. It's guaranteed to put things right:)

for love.

'Grief can take care of itself, but to get the full value of joy you must have somebody to divide it with' - Mark Twain

ah. so true:) Although I just texted this to Jacob and he asked what I meant by that...as if I had told him to frick off. Goof. BUT I'm determined to stumble upon something that means something to him...enough to him...for him to permanently ink his body with it, along with me.

back tats.

i'm completely in love with her tattoo position. Straight down the back. LOVE. Me and Jacob have yet to decide on a tattoo or where to put it....but this is SO neat. Maybe not so much for Jacob....but for me...I love it!

i just recently looked into tattoo removal because of a tat I got when I was 17 and following the lead of a boy that was no good to me. To this day people think I love butterflies....I have no beef with butterflies but NO idea what or where the butterfly on the back came from! arg.
Since getting back together with Jacob, regrets are a thing of the past. So I hate to look at this ONE thing as something I wish I could take back...but a big part of me does. And as a bride-to-be, I'd love to be able to put my hair up without that beast staring back at all my guests!

long story short...we can not afford to have that tattoo removed at this time. At about $185 per session, taking up to 20 sessions....there's no way we can swing it. - info. per The Cosmetic Laser Center.
For now I'm going to continue embracing it and when tattoo inspiration come up, like this one....I feel as if I can confidently add to my collection:).
