week25:) - #smithbabythree

we're currently 25weeks3days. PHEW! I remember thinking that I'd feel "Far Along" when we hit 20 weeks...and now I keep thinking I won't feel "Far Along" until I'm 30 weeks...
When I say that I'm 25 weeks, I feel like we have plenty of time to go. No biggie. But then I think..that's like...less than 100 days...3 months. That gets me a tad nervous!!!

i feel so great and I had a moment today, watching Theo run(ish;) through the yard, where I felt like...We're ready!!! - I mean...we'll BE ready;) Theo's ready. It's allllllll gonna be okay:)

we're all excited for what's to come...this baby and hopefully, some bigger changes. The first of many of the changes, that I can report, is that we sold our BELOVED Prius:( I'm not gonna lie...I cried. Hard. I loved that car. It was the only thing in our lives that didn't feel like a 'fixer-upper'. But it needed to be done - most would guess, because we needed something bigger with the baby on the way but that wasn't it, I had every intention of squeezing 3 kiddos into that car. We needed a roof on our current home and this was the way to do that without acquiring more debt:/ I feel like because selling the Prius was so big for us...so hard - that's what he said;) difficult...we're really going to get serious about our finances and make the sacrifices needed to live the kind of life we dream about:)

so for now...Jacob's driving a $500 Jetta and we'll be bringing the baby home in our 2001 Jeep Cherokee. Like...whoa;)

BUT this feels good. This baby. These decisions. The future.'s so bright...I gotta where shades:)

due date
November 9th:)

boy or girl
i'm still saying GIRL...but I think now I've been saying that for so long that maybe I'm just used to saying that??? I have no clue:)

names
2 solid boy names and a long, continually growing, girls list!!
We're always looking for new names...so text/email me your suggestions!!!

GIRL ayda BOY ralph(ie)

belly
yeahhhhhh...looking down at my belly, I feel like it's adorable and ALL belly. Then someone snaps a photo and ka-BOOM. yeahhhhh....I've got curves;)

weight
apparently, it's possible to gain 10lbs in 4-1/2 weeks. That's real. We celebrated Tuesday's incredible weigh-in and 'all good' baby appt. with Taco Bell;) BUT since Tuesday I've started a very small 10min. work-out, twice a day. And my HUGE (almost impossible for me) goal...is to keep the weight-gain to 1lb per week over the next 15 weeks. Wish me luck;)

start weight: 136lbs
current weight: 161.5lbs
total weight gain: 25.5lbs
*for reference...I've gained a solid 55lbs with both of my previous pregnancies - pausing for gasps;) - so it's probably a good thing my start weight is a bit lower*

with all that being said...I feel great and have no problem with the amount of weight I've gained thus far or will gain from here on out. Bring it!!!!!!:)

wardrobe
no new purchases...just digging through the ol' Maternity Bin and most days all we're doing around here is going on walks and having coffee (no complaints;)...so tank tops, running shorts and sneakers/flip flops make up the majority of my wardrobe:)
I really look forward to these bump photos every 2 weeks to motivate me to put on something cute! We also have a wedding reception this weekend, so I'm excited to get dolled up for that:)

baby buys
nada! I am adding "organize baby bins" to the To Do List so that I can get baby clothes out and washed and sorted in the coming weeks. Also adding: DRESSER to the Needs List. Gonna need somewhere to put the new baby's wardrobe:)

week23:) - #smithbabythree

somewhere in there, I lost a week! I haven't taken photos since Week20 and I've been trying to do them every 2 weeks...I'm sure you all survived but what happened at Week22?!?!?!? - hi. Pregnancy Brain. Nice to meet you...again;)

things have been so good here. SO SO busy. I think? But we're plugging away and I feel great and the kids have been at a super high level of adorableness over the last few weeks - plus a lot of sass and fits and the pooping in all of the cloth diapers...all that good stuff;). Jacob'ssssss hanging in there;) We have a few friends and family that will be in town over the weekend and therefore, in and out at our home...and so I'm all: EVERYTHING THAT ISN'T DONE, THAT SHOULD BE DONE...MUST BE DONE. THIS WEEK. NOWWWW. And when you live in a fixer-upper...that ain't a short list:/ So we've been busting ass to get a few things crossed off the list that no one that actually visits our home will be aware of. You're welcome;)

where was I?! Oh, yeah...we're pregnant. 23 weeks pregnant and happy and feeling good and excited and I've been crying a lot. So there's that. Just happy tears. Content tears. And also big decision tears. Wanting to sell it all and live the way I feel like we should be living and are not living. So yeah. Lots of conversations and budgets and thoughts on where to go from here:) But all good things, really:)
And staring at the kids and wondering where the time has gone and how we got to a place we never imagined we'd be. A very good place. A place that includes babies that mean more than the world to us. So many moments in the day spent watching Homer and Theo do random things and those glances that Jacob and I give each other...a smile that says so much more: how-did-he-get-here, she's-so-perfect, i-love-him-the-most-ever, i-love-you-for-doing-this-with-me glances.

don't mind me, while I cry myself to sleep;') Below are the pregnancy details and some of my most favorite pregnancy photos to date - thanks Courts!

due date
November 9th:)

boy or girl
this week...I have no clue!!! And I like that feeling. I like not having a strong feeling either way, that surprise when the baby gets here is like NO other surprise...ever:) I can.not.wait:)

names
2 solid boy names and a long, continually growing, girls list!!
We're always looking for new names...so text/email me your suggestions!!!

some favs that we've taken off the list: GIRL maxwell BOY moses
I'm at a loss for names this week, so these are just some I've seen around the web...and once again, me and my love for a more masculine girl name!:)

belly
boom. Happening:) - it's continuing to happen! APPARENTLY I'M PREGNANT!!!;)

weight
some moments I feel huge and some, light as a feather...and then I get on the scale and dear lord!!!! I'm still doing some pretty consistent damage...

start weight: 136lbs
current weight: 158lbs (that's a guess...I don't have an appt. for another week or so:)
total weight gain: 22lbs
*for reference...I've gained a solid 55lbs with both of my previous pregnancies - pausing for gasps;) - so it's probably a good thing my start weight is a bit lower*

wardrobe
budget. budget. budddd-puke. So yeah, no purchases recently. BOO!
That doesn't mean I don't have my Wish List;)
Currently: THIS HAT. I love hats and I want all the hats. The end. Not the end...what does this have to do with pregnancy, you ask? Nada. Except everything. So there.

baby buys
you may have heard this one before butttttt:
budget. budget. budddd-puke. So yeah, no purchases recently. BOO!

this one - above - is my favorite:)

and because sometimes it's fun to take a look back:)

23 weeks pregnant with HOMER. totally oblivious to what it means to 'look' 23 weeks pregnant...ah, 1st pregnancies;)

23 weeks pregnant with THEO. i've embraced weight-gain at this point;)

and 23 weeks pregnant for a 3rd time. I can hardly believe I've been given the opportunity to do this, even 3 times. I love to do this:)

week20:) - #smithbabythree

as always, thanks to Courts for the adorable photos:)

as of today, June 25th, I'm about 20.5 weeks:) I had my 'big' Ultrasound. Which went really well:) I'm always pretty anxious up to this point, in hopes that things check-out okay and the baby's doing okay. And we got the word that everything looks really great at this point. PHEW:)
That's not to say that I won't continue worrying about how this baby is doing...I mean...HOW can it come out with all it's limbs and all the brain parts and little bones and the correct number of fingers and toes and the ability to breath and move and LIVE...HOW?!?!!? This process just never ceases to amaze me:)

we don't find out what our babies are prior to the BIG DAY...so that's still a mystery. To us and even the Ultrasound Tech:) I always like knowing whether they know...in the past they've said: "yep...I know - sneaky smile;)". BUT this one said she chooses not to look either! SO no one really knows and that's super exciting as well:)

due date
November 9th:)

boy or girl
feeling very confident it's a girl...most others agree with that guess:) Hoping to put together  a little Baby Pool in the next month or so! - let me know if you want in on that (it's $1 for your guess and winner gets all the monies:)

names
2 solid boy names and a long, continually growing, girls list!!
We're always looking for new names...so text/email me your suggestions!!!

some favs that we've taken off the list: GIRL  beckett - the BFF's pick:) BOY dexter (this was actually the 2nd boy name we went in with when we had Homer and obviously, it lost...but it dropped off the list completely after that!!).

belly
boom. Happening:)

weight
i'm actually weighing in a few pounds less than I was when I was at this point with Homer and Theo...so I'll take that as a win!:) Maybe the walking and warm weather is doing some good in that department! But I'd like to turn things around from this 1/2 way point...more exercising, LESS fast food:/

start weight: 136lbs
current weight: 152lbs
total weight gain: 16lbs
*for reference...I've gained a solid 55lbs with both of my previous pregnancies - pausing for gasps;) - so it's probably a good thing my start weight is a bit lower*

wardrobe
i want to go shopping for ALL the things in the WHOLE world. Arg. I love shopping:)

Right now I'm still doing well in the wardrobe department but it may be time to implement some of the Maternity Tub items:) And I've got my eye on a few nice long tanks from Target that look like they'll be the ticket while nursing:)

baby buysi've actually been patiently waiting by the mailbox for some Gap onsies:) They're the boy and girl outfits that we'll pack for the hospital and bring baby home in - and with free shipping and my coupon they were only about $14.50 ea....which is actually good for GAP quality:)!!!

i don't know if it's being 1/2 way in or having the big appointment under our belts or Theo walking on the regular now and just being such a big girl to us that maybe I feel a tad more...ready?...but today has me 100 times more excited than I had been previously:) I just love this baby and I love the babies we've already brought home and I'm just a shit show of love right now;)

xoxo.
the forever pregnant one;)

days like these...

"...what if you wake up someday, and you're 65, or 75, and you never got your memoir or novel written, or you didn't go swimming in those warm pools and oceans all those years because your thighs were jiggly and you had a nice big comfortable tummy; or you were just so strung out on perfectionism and people-pleasing that you forgot to have a big juicy creative life, of imagination and radical silliness and staring off into space like when you were a kid? it's going to break your heart. Don't let this happen."
- Anne Lamott

*quote found via herwelshness on IG*

today was another one of those wonderful summer days...they seem more and more common around these parts. I'm not sure if it's me and my attitude or just the sun and warmth...but I hope know these days will continue appearing:)

today was my cousin's Baby Shower:) She's due to have a little girl in one month! We're SO sooooo excited for her!!! I'm a huge fan of showers and weddings and all things party/celebration but these baby-related-gig's are most fun with a baby already planted in my belly:):) Just gets me that much more excited about what's to come for us as well:)

i like to take any opportunity we have to get a "sister pic"...although, we are in the same room way more than the average family. Like uhhh-lot more. ANNOYING LUCKY are we - for real:) Annnnd there's bound to be at least one photo-bomber in our lot of 13 kiddos;)

theo daisy photos courtesy of: Courts

theo is my right-hand gal at the moment - and by moment I mean the last 6 months;). Where I go...she goes...in my arms...on my hip. You will not catch me complaining about this. I don't hate having a built-in best friend:):)

buttttt she will go to Me-Moo:) Me-Moo is her only other friend in the world;):)

i had Courts quickly snap a few photos while we had the beautiful weather and I had put on something other than yoga pants;) I'm so glad I did, especially after reading the quote above. Life is WAY too short not to just DO...or to do silly things like stand in front of the mirror and dissect your body. Jeeesh. I mean, 3 hours prior to this photo I was quoted telling Jacob that this dress made me look like a "hippopotamus" - no offense to hippos, who are freaking AWESOME;).
Sure...I do feel like my ass is competing my belly for attention...and some days that just isn't the way I want to feel or look. BUT for my baby girl's sake...I need to cut out any negativity about my body that may still exist. Most days...I do love my body...and that includes my body after baby:) Jacob still seems to dig it - I can't go into the details about how I know that...but Ew;)
And good golly, I love being pregnant...and I love food...I also love walks and a very veryyyyy minimal amount of exercise. So basically...fuck it:)

19weeks:)

the kids left with a Prius-sized amount of loot - party decor, flowers and balloons;)

i worked this morning and then the Baby Shower and no naps - and it needs to be noted, NO FITS - for the kids...so we were pretty wiped out by the time we got home but I'm very happy we pushed through. A walk and watermelon and finishing a book by the fire. I meannnnnn...summer, you're killin' it:)

we loved this day and I already love this summer so hard:)

week16.

well, howdy...16 weeks was all it took to pop:) Apparently, 3rd pregnancies make themselves known a bit earlier!!

most days I'm all: onlyyyyyyyy 16 weeks!? *Draggggingggg feeettttt*

and then the next minute I'm all: SIXTEEN WEEKS!?!? That's 4 weeks shy of 1/2 way and then I passed the hospital today leaving my appt. and guess what?! I have to BIRTH THIS THING!!!!!!

besides all that. I'm feeling phenomenal...so so lucky that things are once again, going so smoothly:) Seems to be another typical Smith Pregnancy:) My only complaint at the moment would be that both my husband and mother declined to run to the grocery store at 1013PM to get me grapes. Which seems downright AWFUL of them;/

thanks to Courts for the adorable photos:)

due date
official Due Date: November 9th:)

boy or girl
i'm still completely torn...all signs still point to GIRL...but I've guessed wrong the last 20 babies that have been born;)

names
we've still got our top boy and girl favorites...but again, we keep our options open till that baby is in our arms:)

some favs that we've taken off the list: GIRL Camden  BOY Brody

belly
as of week 15...we have a belly!!!:) I think I can still disguise it under loose fitting tops but now that it's not leaving...I like to put on fitted tops to put it out there;) I love finally have a belly and having a belly finally makes me feel a tad more pregnant:)

weight
slowly but surely, I'm packing on the pounds. Even with a warmer weather pregnancy...I've not been able to slow my normal weight gain. Oops;)

start weight: 136lbs
current weight: 146lbs
total weight gain: 10lbs
*for reference...I've gained a solid 55lbs with both of my previous pregnancies - pausing for gasps;) - so it's probably a good thing my start weight is a bit lower*

wardrobe
I'm putting a real effort into digging things out of the closet I wouldn't normally try. More dresses. More leg. I had already sworn I wouldn't wear short dresses or shorts during this pregnancy...but after only a few days in the 70's...that all went out the window;) I'm embracing cankles and shorts. They're my new black;)

baby buys
no new baby purchases...besides a girly onsie at a garage sale a few weeks back? I'm hoping to find 1 cute boy and 1 cute girl outfit option to bring the baby home in...but we've got time and we recently had some windows installed in the house...so purchases in general have been put on hold for the time being. NO FUN...although, being able to open a window for the first time in over 2 years is pretty fun;)

i don't have any intention of keeping up with these updates every week...but I plan to do my best to fancy myself up at least once every few weeks to give you the low down on how things are going! Thanks for checking in!:)

xoxo.
