spot of tea.

in honor of this insanelyyyyyy shitty weather we're receiving in Wisconsin - what could we have done to deserve 37 degree...windy...rainy...overcast...snow-on-the-ground...weather on April 25th???? - I thought I'd share an adorable purchase I made a few weeks back.

this little tea pot, from Goodwill, was just shy of $6. I'llllll take it!!! Since cutting hours at my job, I've joined my sisters in drinking coffee about 4 mornings a week - yes...that's amazing:). But I still don't own a coffee maker - just a Kuerig, which we love:) We do have tea in the house and I'll have a cup every now and again. But I'd like to increase the frequency of my tea drinking and I feel this adorable little pot will help me do just that:)

i'm hoping that in a weeks time I'm posting about my new favorite hot-summer-day-alcoholic-beverage;)

cheers!:)

daily happenings:)

just some things we've been up to lately....besides enjoying the weather (which seems to fluctuate from 90 HOT to 40 COLD in a matter of 8 hours!!!!)...we've basically just been hanging out with Homer and watching the days fly by!!!:(

soon I'll be back to work but in the mean time, just going to keep trying to enjoy our time off as much as possible...and spend the least amount of money as possible while doing that;)

i took Homer to his first Antique Store!!! Both Jacob and I really love Antique Stores. Flea Markets. Garage Sales. Really annnnnyyyything that we can dig through in hopes of finding a gem:) Homer on the other hand...still doesn't have a great appreciation for antiquing. He slept through the whole thing;)

UP i was SO close to buying these brass elephant book ends. Homer needs some book ends for all those amazing books we've received!!! These (there were 2) were on Sale from $95 to $45...but I just couldn't bite the bullet:( Didn't seem quite right to spend that much on book ends when I'm not really pulling my weight, income-wise, at the moment. SO holding out for something a bit more in our price range:)

i'm a bit behind on photos and keeping you guys updated on what's been going on but hopefully that will change in the coming days!!! SO much has been happening...kinda...sorta...well, maybe we've just been taking lots of photos of us doing nothing:)

dream a little dream:)

i had never really imagined that I'd be working full-time...in a cubicle. BUT this has been my most favorite job...so far. I really feel like I'm good at my job AND I love the people I work with. It's super flexible...lots of positives. Like any job...there are some not so positive things about working here and seeing as I get too fired up about them...I'll let it lie.

POINT: if I were to have the guts to do something else...

i would convince, at least, one of my sisters to open a little vintage/antique store with me:)

jacob and I love to travel...so every time ANY one of us travels...we'd pick up little goodies for our store. And my house is pretty much a flea market in itself...so there's already lots to choose from there...

i imagine that would be the best thing ever. Our own little place. Our own little name. Our own amazing hours. Simple business cards. Vintage mugs and tea cups for coffee/tea/hot chocolate. A life filled with weekend flea markets, road trips, blogging and creativity:)

i fear our small town would have little to do with a cute little store with vintage clothes and adorable antiques. *sigh*

someday:)

pretty day for La Crosse.

okay....so I mentioned earlier that me, mom and Gerd went to get some wedding things done on Saturday. And that we did. There was nothing dire that actually 'needed' to be done. So mainly, we just had a nice (non air conditioned...ARG!!) 2.5 hour drive and then just wandered around in one of my favorite cities, La Crosse, WI.

UP we hit up some antique stores where I got a few adorable pieces of jewelry. And also added a few things to my list:
1/ oval mirror
2/ amazing furniture
3/ my own antique store business:)

UP/DOWN we meandered downtown. The weather could NOT have been any nicer!:)

UP me and mom:)

DOWN me and the Gerd:)

andddddd I also got another tattoo. I'm unstoppable at this point;) It's cute and little...YAY! Those are the best. Mostly cause they're over in a second and there's no pain:) But I'll share more of that in another post. Soon. I promise.
And reminds me that I have yet another tat that I've never shared and couldn't be happier about. I'll try to get on this ASAP!!!!:)

POINT: it was a great day in La Crosse and if possible, I'm even MORE excited to marry Jacob. I just know that no matter what, the day is going to be beautiful and amazing and one of the best we'll have together:)

AND thanks to Gerd (and Friend:) in advance for all the random shit they're going to be doing for me on the day of the wedding. Being my little errand girls was just an excuse to get you on the guest list...I am SO happy that you'll be there with me, to see me get married! And having you there to help be my extra hands....I couldn't be more thankful that you're willing to do that:)

i'm gettin' marrrrieddddddddddddd:):)

best lookin' shindig:)

i'm SO excited for the reception. I KNOW it's going to be perfect...especially because it's at my parent's land and I know they are really excited to make it perfect for us:)

below is the best barn wedding I've seen yet. And reminds me of how I'd like ours to turn out:
- lights outside
- dance floor outside...although after talking with my mom and sister, Pigg, we decided that it'd probably be best to keep the dance floor IN the building so that we don't split the event up too much. I'd hate to have NO one inside...especially since there will be food and drinks and a little photo booth and all that good stuff INside. SO thinking dance floor INside...some seating, tables and a fire outside:)

POINT: it's soooo purdy:)
