is June too soon?!:)

on rare occasions I get things in the mail that are WAY more fun than bills and creditors trying to get us to apply to their amazingly affordable credit cards;) A few days ago we received a Save The Date for a wedding in June of 2014! A mere 8 months away...never too soon to start day dreamin' about what I'll be wearing...or ordering things to try on...wait...I'm pregnant and have a legitimate belly already. So yeah. Maybe it is a tadddd too early.

regardless.

here are a few that I've found that I'm liking...at the moment. I may peek back at this in 7 months and wonder if it was the giant ice cream sandwich that was making decisions for me while I was doing this post;) Or the fact that my computer is at 13% and I don't have the energy to walk to the other room for the charger...so let's do this...fast;)

up and down were found via Shop Sosie. Super cute. Super affordable.

up is a beauty from ModCloth and it was the pretty green that attracted me...and now to find that color in paint for a wall in my home:)

now my ice cream sandwich thought process is: something long for chasing Homer...he'll be 2 by June 2014 - I can feel the sandwich coming back up...that's sick:'/ And more importantly...my legs will probably not be wedding ready within 2 months after having a baby. They'll be white and very soft...veryyyy soft;).
And something nursing-friendly...because with any luck we'll have a healthy, spunky 2-1/2 month old that will be hungry at all the wrong times during this wedding/reception and we'll need 'easy access':)

oh man. Is it wrong that I'm SUPER pumped to be nursing again!?!?!? And June will be fabulous. Fantastic weather and just enough time after the baby to maybe be feeling myself again...almost...kinda;)

yayyyyy for weddings and love and rowdy 2 year olds and beautiful newborns and online dress shopping that is specific to my future breast-feeding needs.

and on that note. Night Night:)

pretty things make me buy them.

today, while having Courts help me with some budgeting, I was mostlyyyy day dreaming about getting home to try on a new-to-me vintage dress that I just recently (prior to all this budget-smudget talk;) ordered from Friendly Fox Vintage:)

this dress may have been made for me...in the 1970's:) It fits perfectly. Only a few things that I'm hoping to have my seamstress adjust:

1/ get some cups for the 'after baby' ladies

2/ possibly shorten the length but from the top - as pointed out in the photo below - that way we can preserve some of the detail at the bottom of the dress

SIDE NOTE: i can't waitttttt for my hair to get longerrrrrr. Grow babyyyyyy. GROW!

forgive the awful selfies...I was too excited to wait until Jacob got home from work. So this is the best you'll get for now.

now the pickle I'm in. I've mentioned before about this wedding I have coming up at the end of July. In Florida. I think I already know the answer to this....but is this Florida Wedding in July appropriate?? Maybeeeeee tooooo casual??

SO I need from you:

1/ should I shorten?

2/ does this work for a (semi-formal-ish) July wedding in Florida?

i think I'm already leaning towards No's on both those questions but waiting on you to give me your 2 cents. Send it!:)

in need of a dress.

the above statement is the opposite of true for me.
I do NOT need a dress and should most definitely check out the closet before I do any more ordering of dresses:)

BUT we have a wedding reception coming up in January that I'd like to look cute for. Especially, since the baby bump will have officially made it's debut by then (I'll be about 22 weeks:).
This would look great...I love the pattern AND it falls into that NO MATERNITY CLOTHES category. Will work with bump and without:)

things that sparkle.

i was just thinking about how gorgeous and PERFECT these would be and how much I wish we had big BIG plans for New Years. I realize I'd have a bit of a baby bump by then...but still. I'd love to be doing something amazing when we ring in 2012...me, Jacob and baby (last New Year without child:).

and I'd like to be wearing something closely resembling EITHER of these dresses...and rockin' my baby bump like no one's biz.nas!:)

both dresses courtesy of Pinterest...thank you for existing Pinterest. I heart you:)

bring on the new year:)

is it New Years yet?! Do we have any amazing plans!? Can I make us have amazing plans where either of these dresses will come in handy!?

modcloth is BLOWINGGGG my mind - dress-wise.

something to look forward to:)

and i thought i had it all figured out...

still having 'thoughts' about the plan for my BParty. Yes. I'm annoyed with myself at this point. I just want it to be what I want and something that doesn't put us all in the poor house...kinda. And something that everyone else will enjoy too. I know that can't always be the case...so I'm just hoping that my 'chill' night out will appeal to everyone and the fact that there's going to be such a great group of girls...I think that'll be what makes it such an amazing night:)

right now:
- we have a plan...one that I feel like changing. Crap.
- i have no outfit. Crap.
- and yeah...feeling stressed. Not about this wedding...things have just been somewhat crazy. A great weekend that ended with a bunch of ridiculously sad news and losses and change.
And now I'm exhausted from thinking.

SO to end the night....some BParty inspiration that makes me happy. I know I'll get it together. Give me 24 hours:)

UP Urban Outfitters - adorable banner. A repeat on this blog and a must have:)

UP/DOWN The House of Bachelorette - cute crown and some tasteful buttons for my ladies:)

UP/DOWNnnnn Hallelu - some adorable outfits. YES...the girls have already shut down the idea of a romper but would it hurt for me to order it and just seeeee!? Yay?! Nay?!;)

the dress below looks fun and a bit hippy, which I like. Thinking that since I have less than 2 weeks...I need to take a leap of faith here and just up and order something! NOW!

DOWN liking this color option. Better for future wear:)
for now...I'll be thinking and pulling my shit together and you'll all be the first to know:)

replacement shoes:)

i keep telling myself that these wedges were justified...because the Prius didn't work out...I deserved some extra happy in my life. And so now, they live with me!

my new, most favorite, most COMFY wedges: Call it Spring - Gali $69.99
Seriously.worth.EVERY.penny. They are SO comfy and how lucky are they...they will be taking their first trip to Spain this fall:)

UP a not so awesome photo of them on.

DOWN chilling on that thing most people use to eat on. Nope...not I.

UP a dress I grabbed on sale at Target - Mossimo Draped Elastic Waist Seaweed Wrap Dress. Only $17 and may come in handy for Spain, Work, or an August Wedding we have:)

and now I seem out of control with the spending...hmm. Cut off now:)

want it (memorial) monday.

i feel like I haven't done a 'want it...' post in some time...although, most of my posts have something to do with something I don't have and that I feel I should have. True story.

SO here it is. In case you were wondering...my current want. I want this in Spain. Do I bring NEW dresses to Spain (at least a few) or do I wait...get there...buy new stuff and then FedEx all my old stuff home?!;)

preview.

just to keep you on your toes....a little reception dress preview!
I found this beauty at Cache at MOA. Obviously, I want to leave something to the imagination, so I messed around with this a bit....but I think you can get just a little idea of what I'll be looking like on the night of my reception...

although this may actually be what you see if you spend too much time at the wine table;)

or...his mom.

me: Jacob, do you like this dress for me to wear on my Bachelorette Party (BParty)?
jacob: no it looks like a dress my mom would wear.
me: nuh uhhhh.
jacob: no, really. I think my mom has one like that in her closet. Maybe you can borrow it.
me: but I'm going to have all the other girls wear...(rudely cut off by Jacob;)
jacob: ...dresses their mom's would wear?!

tool. He knows nothing of fashion;)

for me.

this dress - slightly more cream/off white - and everything that comes with it...would be my ideal look for our Saturday night Reception.
I'm keeping this in mind on my next big mall shopping trip.

goodness.

ohhh balls. This is a freaking fantastic wedding. Start TO Finish. Prettiness.

i came across this wedding while stalking 100 Layer Cake and it's now opened my eyes to the bride's smart/beautiful/foodie blog, Sprouted Kitchen.

pretties.

prettier.

um. prettyyyyyy.

just shoes...but pretty - mostly cause I love the fabric/pattern of her dress:)

prettiest.

the bride's sister, Stone Cold Fox, made these dresses and I absolutely ADORE them. I want them for my girls because my girls need to look identical to this!

etsy wedding dress.

i'm loving this dress. It's a bit high, as far as money I can spend, but if my 'made' dress turns out to be only $200 (like I was quoted), I could still get this for Saturday night and not feel too bad about that. Yep. I actually reallllly like this dress!!!

fashion.less.

besides being completely adorable in every way...as well as fashionable and most recently with baby:) Miranda Kerr may be pulling off another potential airport outfit for me! How comfy does this look!? I can see myself laying any which way on Jacob during our 14 hour flights wearing this outfit;)

now to make it mine....for cheap:)

dress & jacket images via Victoria's Secret
Maxi Dress $89 - that's on sale folks...arg.

could still wait for them to go on sale...and currently I'm waiting for a gray suede pair to come in the mail at full price and already thinking I'll send back and wait till they get thrown in a bucket on top of the sale rack and pray they have my size or something close to it that I can pull off;)

suede jacket at $120...again, on sale. As I've said before...nothing constitutes a sale unless it starts with a 1 and ends in something like $12!!!!;)

so this is most definitely not as cheap as you can go with this outfit. And I went with a black jacket cause I love me some all black. But this has some serious summer, running around, shopping day, 14 hour plane ride, streets of Spain potential!!!

love for all pretty dresses.

the Knotty Bride via Free People - Ruffles Fan Dress $298

the Knotty Bride via Watters

how is it that I finally make a semi-confident decision on my dress and NOW these dresses fall into my life. I mean...REALLY!!?
Maybe a girl can just love all dresses and no one decision will feel like THE dress because there are those dresses that are unattainable and then there are those other dresses that don't seem to suit the look you're going for and the other dresses that are black...and you can love them all but eventually you just have to pick one and not look back.

i am still having my dress made. My mind is made up. BUT I mayyyy still have to stop feeding the dogs for a few months in order to save up the extra cash for that Free People dress. I'm seriously head over heels for THAT dress.

jenny packham kills.me.

these dresses are nothing short of everything I'd ever want in a dress for my wedding! That's really it. No words this morning. Could be the fact that I'm tired and growing increasingly irritated with each call. I feel sorry for the unlucky SOB who rings to me at 159p.m. today!! I will be in NO mood.

so I'm a crabby patty but holding it together with thoughts of possible TB (taco bell) for lunch (a treat for holding it together for another 6-1/2 hours:) and keeping in mind that me and the girls will be looking through beautiful dresses in less than 2-1/2 weeks!
I've gone and tried dresses on several times but am SO looking forward to being able to have all the ladies in ONE room...not that we don't congregate enough but hopefully we'll have my soon-to-be mother-in-law and STB sis-in-law (shortening that shiat) there to enjoy the festivities too!

this would just rock on SO many levels! I mean realllllly rock. I don't dance but I'd have to find some moves if I were going to do this pretty justice!! (above:)
my absolute favorite!!! (above:)

1920's shin dig.

morrrrre wedding good-i-ness happening right here! In front of your facccce:)

Ruffled featured this amazingly beautiful wedding on their site! It's gorgeous and I love nothing more than something Vintage...anything Vintage...so this wedding is right on my level!
The bride's dress, by Sarah Arnett, is completely unique and that little furry looking shrug looks like something she can continue cuddling with as the years go on:)

and how cute are these little To Do's for the guests?! They sign those great tags and hang them for the couple!

and those table settings look so crisp and pretty and old and perfect. I love the bottle of wine. Having a bottle of wine at each table is a definite must for me. The restaurants insanely overpriced wine be damned, I WILL have the wine.
PS. the restaurant we're having our ceremony dinner at, which is a great restaurant - don't get me wrong;), is charging us aroundddd $23 per bottle of wine and get this...that same wine can be bought at their local grocery store for $8 per bottle. RIGHT DOWN THE FREAKING STREET! Lovely.
Guess we're lucky that over 1/4 of the guests at the ceremony will be under 12 (and hopefully not drinking;), no recovering alchy's - except me but I plan to fall slightly off the wagon that night...and by slightly I mean just dragging a leg or losing a shoe. NOTHING crazy;) - drats!! As for the rest of us...we likes wine. So it's on.
