the weight of a picture.

do you save your photos? ALL of them? And by all of them...I mean you take photos with your phone mostly and your camera sometimes and then you download them and then you sort them into little folders on your computer - if you're like me...you have a Samsung phone and a Mac computer and they're not compatible and so downloading and sorting photos has become the thing you despise most in this world...next to ankle bumps...cause for REAL...those things are dumb and now I'm puking.

and thennnnn you get on My Publisher and make a photo book every year...since 2009:)

and a separate one for momentous occasions...like: Our Wedding. Our Honeymoon. Homer's 1st Year. And eventually Theo's 1st year and any babies that follow:)

and then there are these adorable Instagram books that I discovered, from Sunnylit Style, that I'd like to try out - BLURB -...I mean...Instagram has become so big in my life that it does deserve it's own yearly book. Eeeeeekkkk:)

i'm not sure what my point is....show yourself, POINT!

i've just been thinking a lot about how deleting photos off my computer will make it faster. MUCH faster - cause it's super important to me to be able to have 17 windows open at the same time;). And after all the books and the blog posts and the yearly books and the yearly IG book and the super special photos that make it up on the wall...what more do I need?

my stomach gets a little queasy at the thought of deleting any/all photos. If there is no photo...did it really happen?!?! Like that shirt I borrowed out in 9th grade...will I wake up one day and remember one specific event/moment/memory SHIRT and not be able to find it...knowing it existed but no way to find it again?

but another part of me knows I'd feel a huge sense of relief letting go as well. I've done my best to preserve the most important parts of our lives in photos, thus far. But I really do think deleting every year...starting over - AFTER my books are delivered to my door and a separate copy stored safely in our fire-proof safe;) - could be life.changing.

any thoughts on that? Am I the only one losing sleep over this bullshit?!;)

the end:)

scallops. the pretty kind:)

i'm up way too late but I feel great about that because I've gotten so much accomplished tonight! And because I'm used to going on an average of 4-5 hours of sleep...I'm shooting to have my eyes closed by 1AM and then be back up by 6AM! Lots more to do tomorrow!

man. Nothing feels better than feeling like you've done something right. Accomplished something. Made something look better. Crossed some things off the To Do List:) I will go to bed tonight feeling like a million bucks...if a million bucks looked like a newly 30 year old girl with a break out on her chin. Damn;)

in honor of my updated blog look: Scallops:)

1920's shin dig.

morrrrre wedding good-i-ness happening right here! In front of your facccce:)

Ruffled featured this amazingly beautiful wedding on their site! It's gorgeous and I love nothing more than something Vintage...anything Vintage...so this wedding is right on my level!
The bride's dress, by Sarah Arnett, is completely unique and that little furry looking shrug looks like something she can continue cuddling with as the years go on:)

and how cute are these little To Do's for the guests?! They sign those great tags and hang them for the couple!

and those table settings look so crisp and pretty and old and perfect. I love the bottle of wine. Having a bottle of wine at each table is a definite must for me. The restaurants insanely overpriced wine be damned, I WILL have the wine.
PS. the restaurant we're having our ceremony dinner at, which is a great restaurant - don't get me wrong;), is charging us aroundddd $23 per bottle of wine and get this...that same wine can be bought at their local grocery store for $8 per bottle. RIGHT DOWN THE FREAKING STREET! Lovely.
Guess we're lucky that over 1/4 of the guests at the ceremony will be under 12 (and hopefully not drinking;), no recovering alchy's - except me but I plan to fall slightly off the wagon that night...and by slightly I mean just dragging a leg or losing a shoe. NOTHING crazy;) - drats!! As for the rest of us...we likes wine. So it's on.

if you need a good laugh....

these are freaking hilarious. I would now like to quit my job and go home and think up cards like this. I've found my calling:)
ENJOY. No really...you will enjoy, not because I'm telling you too but because if you don't enjoy these cards on some level...you must have a negative number of friends;)

a dream come true.

okay. I could leave this be. Just post this picture and let it do all the work. But honestly. It's probably the best thing I've EVER seen IN.MY.LIFE!

if you know me....you'll know that the thought of harm coming to a cat makes me laugh to the point of tears....terrible. This I know. But seriously. Give me a cat with no legs and you'll never find a happier girl!

frick. I hate when I find a group of shit that I just WANT. No real reason, except that it needs to be mine. But how CUTE are these couple things?! That necklace is calling out to me for NO reason...it's just awesomeness. The sweater has that cute detail and then the little brass deer?! yeah. I don't think I need to explain to you why this must be in my house, hanging out on my kitchen counter.
