the oxford trunk.

holy lord. I don't know if it's the cold weather - reminding me that Christmas is on it's way. The fact that we'll have less money than we've EVA had very soon - with me cutting hours at work to stay home with Homer boy:). OR if I've just lost my damn mind...

but if I did have some money to throw around...even a teeeennnyyyy little bit. I'd be ordering most everything from The Oxford Trunk.

completely cute. completely affordable. Gimmie.

i know these are a bit trendy but this is the first one that I feel like could REALLY be me. I like. I want. I want to wear it with something fancy. I want to wear it with my gray tshirt:)

 Slouchy Beanie $14.50
you can never have toooooo many beanie's and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one:)

i'm not one for wearing a lot of jewelry but this style really seems to be working for me!

my rock loving husband would want me to have this;) And it kinda inspired me to maybe take one of the rocks he found on our vacation and see about having it put on a chain:)

reminds me of something my sister, Pigg, would wear:)

 BAGGU x3 $24
i love love love these bags. I only have a few but would love to have a few more for grocery shopping!

a great stocking stuffer, don't cha think mother;)

i already have my Minnetonka Fringed Boots but these are just so great too!! Darn my love for a good boot;)

power of simple.

photos UP/DOWN via Feather Love Photography

i love the idea of simplicity. There are for surely times I leave the house in coral nail polish with gold bracelets and a sparkly ring...but for our wedding...I think simplicity will win.

above is a bride who looks amazing and besides loving her dress..I love her earrings and she keeps it at that. Nicely done.

below I have a few things that I've been collecting at 2nd hand stores as well as flea markets and antique stores. Now to decide what to leave at home. I LOVE it all!!!!

UP/DOWN items from my own collection:)

pretty. rich.

for this post, I'll start with the point and then lose my way;)

POINT: the jewelry. I have my reception dress. I love it. I think it's perfect but now it needs the perfect jewelry. Classic ME, I jumped the gun on the jewelry and since I took a picture of myself in the get up and then emailed it to all my accounts, so that I could look at it...study it...EVERY day...I'm starting to think it needs a change in jewelry. It wasn't me.

insert - Erin Hearts Court - who has now introduced me to Kindred Stones - which I now...after getting super excited about finding the Perfect jewelry and then starting this post and THEN looking up prices...realize is WAY out of my price range. Frick.

i have a girl crush on each one of these pretty ladies!!

and I want that middle slouchy top.

and, as you know, I love red hair.

i'll never wear a sweater without a long necklace..EVER again.

and here's the necklace combination that I love and think may be perfect for me and my dress. Now to save $400;) BUT luckily F21 has some supa' cheap alternatives!

etsy wednesday.

Rusty Charm $18
Karin's Tree Top Shop $125

most of the time Etsy is amazing...well, the majority of the time. BUT the worst part about it, besides the amount of time I spend surfing through the site during a work day...is that SO many things are SO close to super cheap that it makes you think you need Wayyyy too much stuff.

like the above 2 items. I DO need them. I'm convinced.

etsy tuesday.

two things caught my eye today on Etsy. Cheeeeeeck check...check it out:)

1/ Alphabet Rolling Rubber Stamp from Wonderland Room $22.95

i've already decided that we'd have my oldest sister/MOH, Courts, do the text on the envelopes. From there...nothings been decided. We've thrown around the idea of getting a stamp for our return address....OR something as adorable as this alphabet stamp. BUT it looks like it could be A LOTtttt of work! And work I no like.

1/ Diamond Blue Sapphire Wedding Band from Adzias Jewelry Atelier $430

pretty. pretty. PRETTY. And I think this is unique enough to satisfy me and the price is a bit high compared to the $30 I was hoping to spend;) BUT I think this would work. I think this could be the one:)

now to find Jacob one for $30 to make up for how much I may spend on mine:)

adorable. Not sure if it's the actual necklace that I want or if me loving the way it was photographed that leaves me wanting it...and I think maybe I'd settle for just a picture of it.

from Prismera Design, for $45, it's out of my price range but it's in the running. I'd like to layer up my necklaces..IF I wear necklaces for the wedding and this would look great:)

the great ring debate.

these pretties from Cathy Waterman...are just that. Pretty! And unique and vintage and just right in every way and with a touch of black....Yes. I love.
Do I love my current ring - YES!!!
Would this have been the ring if we had more money, etc. - Mayyyybe not
Would I trade my ring in - NEVER
Does it mean the world to me and make it the one cause Jacob saw it and thought of me - More than words:)
Did we get super creeped out when we realized that my ring is an EXACT replica of Courts, the older sister's. Same size, same shape...the only differences are that mine is silver and hers is gold. And Jacob didn't buy the wraparound band that Courts has (thank goddddd;).
But when I told him this he was pretty surprised...obviously he hadn't done research on the rings in my life;) But that's okay...if anything it was just a fun reminder that we're all quite close. Closer than we think.

but really...isn't it bad enough that my sister is married to my fiance's brother and we're all super super (some say creepily;) close and NOW we have the same rings!?!;)

etsy thursday.

again...the kid thing;)
But there is SO much cute stuff out there. If I could onllllly forget how much work they are and only concentrate on all the cute stuff I'd be buying!:)
and a very clever, romantic necklace. Me want.

1/ Down Home Amy - Baby Bib, $17
2/
House that Crow Built - Brass Anatomical Heart Necklace, $45

anything personalized.

frick. Give me a tin can...lame. Give me a tin can with my initials on it and suddenly it's a wonderful gift! What the hell!? I'm easily fooled by anything personalized and how could I not when most things are as nifty as this necklace!!!!

too cool for school.

We Twinkle Bright Cupcake Toppers $14

had we not already bought the most perfect cake topper for ourselves...I may have considered these. Funny, yes. Adorable, yes. Almost made to look like me and Jacob's faces...Absolutely!
French Expletive Speech Bubble Necklace $22

Etsy via Mates & Rubbish
from the same little store I found this great little necklace. I'd LOVE to have this. Not sure why cause again, I don't wear a lot of jewelry but it's just so freaking cute. And you actually can pick whatever you'd like to have on it. I was thinking one of these:
- my heart = mi elcorazon ('my heart' is a little thing Jacob calls me...yes. He's THAT great:)
- love = el amor
PS. I got these translations via SpanishDict.
those little phrases are in Spanish, mostly cause I thought it'd be a neat thing to have on our honeymoon in Spain. But any phrase, English - Spanish - Pig Latin...I love the idea of it!

the pretty little details.

i'm not really one for pretty jewelry. I've got a fairly large collection hanging in the closet that very rarely sees daylight.
I'm more of a ring person...small stud earrings...bracelets. Yes. I do love me a bracelet or watch. BUT yeah...everything else...very minimal when it comes to accessorizing and I'm totally okay with that. I like that about my style.

something about these cute little pieces make me want to rethink that. Adorable. And the price is right ('commmmeee onnnn down...you're the next contestant'....I know..I know..I HAD to!!!;).

bring on the honeymoon.

Etsy - Dindi Jewelry $38
Etsy - Vintage Chase $225

Etsy - Chigal Supplies and Vintage Items $12

obviously I have our honeymoon on my mind again today. Just soooo many cute things out there and I'm having a hard time not snatching everything up BEFORE the honeymoon. Jacob has been quick to point out that we're saving for this vacation...so that we can spend money on this vacation.
Shopping for Casey
Food and more food...anddddd more food for Jacob
And believe me...if it means a cool Spain item...I'm willing to do without food for any amount of time!

also an interesting tid bit I just discovered while in search of plane tickets (I dig through Trip Advisor daily to check on the costs of plane tickets. Obsessive much...Yes). I was recently turned onto the idea of First Class. Going to Spain is NOT enough for me...now I must get there in a classy way. SO after searching for round trip tickets in Coach - $800ish. Same journey but in First Class - $3,000ish. What the FRICK!!?!!??
Needless to say that would be 2/3rds of our entire Spain Honeymoon Fund. So First Class is NOT an option. Poo:(

feather feather love.

Anne Feather and Chain Necklace $95
photos courtesy of Etsy - Noemiah via Noemiah Bijoux viaaaa Lake Jane
Dylan Feather and Chain Necklace $55
Harness Necklace $55

i'm pretty much a fan of anything feather as seen in a previous post. These are a lot more subtle in that area but still a great look! I have been thinking a lot about the dress I bought for only $100 and my sister, Pigg, pointed out that by saving ALL that money...I can put a little more thought and possibly money, into buying things to make that dress look fantabulous:)

wouldn't these be a fun addition to a super plain dress?! I'm liking them a lot. I've also passed on this Etsy store to my sister, Pigg, cause she's always been interested in fashion and possibly pursuing a career in design...her own designs. Like hand bags and such. She recently made some jewelry for a friends wedding, as a gift to them and it turned out beautifully.
These pieces really made me think that this is something she could come up with. Easily. I'm hoping she goes with it!!!:)

new years wedding outfit. my continued obsession.

yep. You read that ridiculously long blog post tile correctly. I'm STILLLL hunting down google for more inspiration for that New Year's Eve Wedding we'll be attending.

maybe it's because they are such great friends and they're SO fun and amazing people and I know they're wedding and the whole vibe will reflect that....maybe that's why I'm putting so much pressure on myself to be the bestest Wedding Guest I .Can. Be?! yes. it must be.

photo courtesy of Express - Sequin Mini Skirt $39.90

photos courtesy of What to Wear to Parties

the best part about the outfits put together for us above is that they are all seriously affordable. They're from stores like: PacSun, Forever21, Charlotte Russe and Top Shop.

i really like the idea of the skinny jean and heel and adding a jacket or cardy to a simple top. The 2nd one is the one I like most for the New Year's Eve Wedding. Pants are always a good call cause of the weather (although they'll be SO tight you won't know where they start and I stop... that's that).

i also hesitate to wear heels. I have a long running issue with heels, even falling on non windy summer days. So the idea of winter, with the snow and the water on those hard slick reception floors and the fact that not only am I 5'7-1/2" normally but you add on 3" heels and even Jacob won't be able to stop me from coming down. Yes. I'll admit, that scares the shit out of me!

okay...had to add this last one that I JUST found. It's adorable...and can you say: Skinny Leather (pleather in my case;) pants!!!!!! Yep. I've said it before and I'll said it again...I think I've found....*whisper*...THE ONE!!!

want it Wednesday.

$18
$48
$39
frick. I hate when I find a group of shit that I just WANT. No real reason, except that it needs to be mine. But how CUTE are these couple things?! That necklace is calling out to me for NO reason...it's just awesomeness. The sweater has that cute detail and then the little brass deer?! yeah. I don't think I need to explain to you why this must be in my house, hanging out on my kitchen counter.
