i'm not sure that's what the kids are calling them these days...but these are a pair of boots that I've liked for some time now. I actually couldn't even make up one good reason why I need these boots...except that my closet is currently a family of 5 - heels, flats, sandals, wedges and boots. We'd like to expand that family and bring in a middlemiddle child (yes...that's a thing:). 
The bad ass (not bad enough to get pregnant when she's 17 - Courtsssss;). 
The smoker (she'll quit when she's 23;). 
The rule breaker (and by rule breaker...we mean she dates one idiot but ends up marrying a guy almostttt as amazing as her dad:).

i've been in love with the Nanette boot for quite some time. I really wanted them for this Spring. SO...I want them right now! But of course, they're sold out...everyyyyyy where! 

then I found the Silas boot. Amazing as well. Guess what....SOLD OUT. God damnnnnn!!! Can't a girl - one that shouldn't be spending money but has a birthday coming up in 35 days, which means I should get what I want...when I want it - catch a break!??!?!!? Damn!!!!;)

i just recently picked up these beauties (or super uglies...if gold-Michael Jackson-ish glitter flats aren't your thing;) from Target. The plan is to stance the night away in these for my, upcoming, 30th - holy crap. holy crap. holy crap - birthday!!

SIDE NOTE: my March 23rd, 30th birthday, started on January 1. All purchases between January 1 and March 23rd are guilt-free 'i deserve it cause it's my birthday' purchases;)

below are a few inspirations from Polyvore to help me in styling these. As amazing as I may think they are...they are a bit difficult to just throw with any old outfit. Birthday's are perfect for glitter and over the top outfits...but 30 feels a bit different. I must feel amazing and glittery and classssssyyyy...but people around me must think "how hot is that 30yr old (they'll only know I'm 30 because of the amazing crown I'll be wearing...otherwise, they would have assumed I was 27;) stancing in those fabulous gold glitter flats?!?!".

on our recent 'Date Day', Jacob and I did a little shopping...one of my few purchases were these grey jeggings. I really love them and am already trying to come up with ways to style them with things I already have in my closet. I've got a lot of Spring and Summer ideas but wasn't sure on how to use them the rest of the winter. 

for those of you who appreciate and love all things fashion, this post will be fun. For those of you who don't...I suggest you move on about your day and never look back cause I'm about to get all sorts of annoying;)

PS. i'm going to try to make this a reoccurring theme! Something like:

Just to prove that I actually left the house in some of this stuff that I'm investing all of Homer's college education money in;)

i was inspired by Sunnylit Style's most recent post to do a bit of a fashion post here too (PS. she actually knows what she's doing over there with fashion:). I have a lot of clothes...lots. Unfortunately, I don't use them to their full potential and especially now that I'm down to 24 hour work weeks, only about 8 of those hours being face to face with coworkers...I'm slacking. I was actually thinking that maybe I should just bite the bullet and invest in 10 new pair of black yoga pants and sneakers cause that's basically what I've been living in:/

POINT: our boy, Homer, is now almost 9mths old. I've got this 'mom' thing down;)...so there's no more excuses. I need to get my ass styled up on a daily basis...well...at least a handful of times a week:)

and it doesn't have to be hard! Minimal effort can be made and still get me leaving the house looking even a little less frumpy!!
