my friend...Valencia:)

today's goal: to walk. And walk we did:) I'm proud to say that we really took advantage of the day. Got up early. Had an amazing breakfast and then walked, walked and more walking!!! And I'm really glad we did all that walking because we ate our weight in food the last 2 days. No question about it:)

we found a quiet little park to walk through. Jacob and I are LOVING all the different trees. I think Jacob talks every day about having a yard full of all these different trees someday:)

UP/DOWN we even found a secluded place to set up the camera and use the clicker to get some great photos! LOVE how they turned out and now my goal is to try again in Barcelona:)

UP we had initially thought that we would rent bikes...but the city's are MUCH larger than we had ever imagined they would be. We agreed that looking at them was more than enough;)

UP/DOWN there was a candy store AND baby stores...you'll be proud to know that I left both empty handed...well, except for Jacob's hand in my hand...dragging me away;)

after a short nap and some downtime, we ventured back out so I could try to get some photos of the city at night and I like to think I had some success:)
Now we're completely FULL...like disgustingly full. Not the - I need to puke kinda full....more like the - I can see the weight gain already kinda full:(

totally worth it cause I'm vowing to walking that much harder the next few days;)

jacob's photos:)

UP jacob getting a shot of me after my breaking point of NEEDING food...I got happier within 10 minutes and a bowl of pasta;)

another fantastic day...a great way to end our stay in Valencia. Right now, while blogging...Jacob has the terrace doors open and we're letting in a nice cool breeze. The weather has turned cooler here (as I hear it has in WI;)...but we're talking 70...which I am SO down with:) 70 is the perfect walking weather!!!!

we're blown away that tomorrow we'll be in Barcelona and in a few short days...we'll be back on a plane, headed home. Again...SO excited to be home and get settled back into our every day lives. Sad to leave our honeymoon though!
It really has been everything we could have asked for...and we still have 5 days left!! It went the perfect speed. We feel as if we've been gone for well over a month already...but not in a bad way. In a perfectly paced way:) We just couldn't feel more happy and lucky right now.

a wee bit of Valencia...

just some random photos of Valencia. It's really all I've aquired while we've been here. A bit dissapointing. But like I said...tomorrow's a new day and after some ice cream...I think I'll have a whole new perspective:)

UP view from our terrace...a hundred more terraces;)

UP this is across the river from our hotel and we're going to take a walk over there first thing tomorrow...and we're (I'm:) hoping there's ice cream near:)

UP we're on the fourth floor of our hotel and we've taken the stairs multiple times! YAY for needed honeymoon exercise:)

until tomorrow friends:)

going to market.

see that amount of people....they're Everywhere in Valencia. Hence our failed effort to get a great baby bump photo. OR maybe I need to listen to Jacob when he says "just do it...no one knows us...no one cares about us"...maybe tomorrow:)

one of the great things about wandering around for hours with no clue as to where you are...you stumble upon great and unexpected things. Today, it was a market:)

i tend to gravitate towards the fruits. Jacob, the meats:)
However, we left with grapes...not that little animal, whose eyes are still peering at us. Ick:(

PS. grapes are still my stomach's worst enemy. Darn:)

jacob's photos:)

valencia has been treating us well but I'm sad to say that tomorrow is alreaddddddy our last full day here! Where did the time go in Valencia!? Yes, we're leaving on a 7AM bus to Barcelona Friday, so we're going to make the best of the time we have tomorrow. Which means: up early for hot chocolate milk in the morning, walking all day long and HOPEFULLY some better photo opportunities. For the most part...Valencia is just another bigger city. There's not a lot of that old city that I adore. At least not within walking distance of where we are. SO tomorrow we go in search of it:)

night night:)

week: 11:)

here we are on week 11!!! Some days it feels like:

"whoaaaaaaa...11 weeks...already!??!:)"

and on a night like tonight when my computer is running slow, Jacob wants to watch Planet of the Apes, that footlong SUB and 2 cookies didn't fill me up...I feel more like:

"whoaaaaaaa...11 weeks...ANNOYINGGGGGGGGGG!??!:)"
I'm sure that's all aimed at the things above and not the lime sized baby, whom we love, growing inside me:)

unfortunately, we weren't able to find any great 'baby bump photo' spots. Any somewhat creative spots were being taken up by HUNDREDS of people. The area of the city we're in, even as old as it is, is quite busy. SO I guess this graffiti wall will have to do. And yes...that may be Homer Simpson's head. I'm annoyed. Just annoyed enough to still post these...and maybe even TOO annoyed to wait until tomorrow and try and take new ones. SO be it.

otherwise...we're good. Eating a lot. Not sure on the weight situation since I haven't had access to a scale. Thank god for that.

since I'm a pistol...I'm going to get some sleep and hope, for Jacob's sake, I wake up feeling like a nice person:)

hell ride.

here we are...bright eyed and bushy tailed...completely naive about our upcoming bus trip. TEN.HOUR.BUS.TRIP. I think I was even quoted saying "I'm really looking forward to this 10 hr. bus trip:)".

long story short...stinky people will always - HEY..not sometimes....ALWAYS - sit right in front of you. No matter how many seats are available around you (this also applies to all public restroom stalls). RIGHT.IN.FRONT.OF.YOU. And hey...awesome...where was that breeze directly into my face 10 fucking MINUTES AGO!!!!!?!?!?!

holy hell. I didn't think reminiscing about this was going to bring up such hosility;) Wait. I did:)

POINT: it was rough and Jacob and I both hit our breaking points at different times on this trip.

Jacob's Break: around 4PM...his seat wouldn't lay back and there was a fly. ONE fly. And many fbombs. I've never been more glad that no one understood us or really cared we existed:)

MY Break: around 6PM..."he HAS to stop SOME TIME!?...we've stopped EVERY 1/2 hour (that's not an exaggeration) for the entire trip and NOW...at dinner time..he's not going to stop!? This is so INSANE!!! There's a BABY IN ME!!!! OMG. You did NOT kill that fucking fly!!!!!!"

UP jacob about 30 minutes before his break down. I assume him not being able to find a suitable sleeping position added to the break down;)

no surprise...but we survived the bus trip AND buying tickets for our next bus trip, to Barcelona, on Friday. We were SO lucky that there was a Spanish/English speaking man right in front of us in line.
My turn...I try to explain what we need (early on we found that it was brilliant to buy our bus ticket to the next destination BEFORE leaving the bus station...we rock;) and of course...NO English. Shiat.
The man in front of us, hearing the confusion, came back and was nice enough to translate for us...all the way up to helping us get it paid for and explaining the ticket once it was in hand. And he didn't steal ANYTHING from us:) I love amazing strangers:):)

after a 5 minute taxi ride - yep...we SO could have walked but it was dark and we were done after that bus ride - we arrived at our hotel. Thumbs UP:) Dropped our bags, took our hotel video for you lovely folks and then went in search of food. This woman was in desperate need of food. I didn't even take a photo of our yummies cause I pretty much didn't breath the entire time. My bad:)

and now we're going to download a movie to watch on the computer and call it a night. Phew. I feel so good when we're settled:)

how amazing is it that we're in Valencia, Spain!? The one upside of the bus ride was seeing SO many cities in between Granada and Valencia. We caught a glimpse of the ocean again and some serious mountains! Spain has been amazing and we're in shock that we're on our 2nd to last destination! We're just taking in every minute of it and enjoyingggggg:)

buenas noches!!!!:)
