there's a 2 year old rowdy?!

it's difficult for me to remember Drew as anything BUT what she is now: Rowdy.

she got the nickname of Rowdy last year on our MOA trip. It just came to me and boy is it a perfect fit for her:) She is the 6th of Court and Dave's 7 kiddos. And she has not just blended in. Anything but!! I love that prior to each baby getting here...we sit and wonder how they'll ever leave a mark or hold their own. And somehow...each one has pleasantly surprised us. 

rowdy. You are a mini version of your mother. If you, at 2 years old, showed up at one of our houses with the Burb' and a bottle of wine...we'd probably shoot the shit with you for an hour before realizing you weren't your mom;)

UP me and Drew Baby hanging out. I had just put some super fat Nike's on her. Love. 

i get to see these amazing kiddo's at least once a day:):) And I can 'see' them for as long or as little as I'd like and then go home and nap;) Ah, enjoying the good life before I have a kiddo of my own...permanently;)


and I should just change Daily Happenings to Photos of My Sister's Kids;)

UP my little Nasher bug:):) Man. He's got a cry that makes you want to just scoop him up. And usually you just had to punish him for something legitimate...but then you immediately feel terrible cause that cry...heartbreaking;)

and then more of miss Drew Baby hanging out! Her new 'thing' - screeching. That's really the only way to describe it. Not screaming. Not crying. Not yelling.
Dad described it as the sound of a hawk. Sure. I can see that.
Mal described it as the sound the animal makes that the hawk just snatched up for lunch. Even more true;)

a lot of my spare time is spent taking photos of these kiddo's right here. I need to put some of that photo-taking energy into taking pictures of everything else too...until then...:)

UP on rare occasions, I get to wake baby Drew up from a nap and those are the most snugly times and the times when her hair is the weirdest. She's so freaking adorable:) Here I am taking photos of her eating Lucky Charms, while I eat Lucky Charms:)

UP the biggest personalities in our niece/nephew bunch right here;) The boys saying bye to me through the window;)

last night, before the above photo was taken of Jacob and I at a Wedding Reception, my sister and I went and registered for this child...the one in me:)

after 2 hours and 2 dead register gun batteries...we got it. Unfortunately, everything was picked over because of the New Year's sales...SO I'll have to go back and re register in a few weeks. Which is totally fine. Then Jacob gets a chance to go (I haven't broken this 'good' news to him yet;).

i had prepared myself prior to going down. I thought that there was probably a pretty likely chance I would cry. Cause apparently that's what I do;) But it really wasn't so bad. As I saw other couples wandering around - registering for stupid stuff they wouldn't need;) - Mal lead me to exactly what I would need. Which made me feel WAY better about the idea of those other couples thinking I had no baby daddy;)

in the end, I learned that I need to work on my listening skills.

As Mal went on and on and onnnnnn about the need for this certain paste for something on the baby's body...me and Luke shot each other with the register gun;) When Jacob and I talked about the experience later, I was only able to tell him that babies need a lot of 'stuff' and there would have been NO way we could have registered on our own cause we would have printed off a list with candy and cute socks on it.

POINT: we are registered. And in no way does that mean we are any more prepared for this baby than before. Excited though?!...hell yes:)

this adorable being turned ONE yesterday!!! Oh, man...Courts says it pretty well...we weren't sure the kids could continue coming out and having such different personalities. Drew Baby proved us wrong. And she's SUCH A FREAKING HAM! Man. Another beautiful, happy baby. With mucho attitude. This we love:)

UP/DOWN nasher man. How this kid creates SO much beastlyness is beyond me...but 2 things are true.

1. He IS, in fact, a massive beast.

2. He IS a beast and then the next second he's not being a beast and you immediately forget that he was just fricking with your life:)

UP my god. I can hardly look at this picture without crying cause she is hard on the heart. As all the kids are. Dave and Courts are killingggg me with these amazing kids:)

little beautiful, healthy baby Drew Elise Smith is HERE!!!! She arrived on Friday, December 10th. JUST in time to make me $26 richer. After 7 nieces and nephews...I finally won the 8th baby pool!;)


all is well at the Smith household and I will surely have more soon but off to work on this cold Tuesday morning!:)


PS. This is doing nothing for my baby fever...yes...I may have what some people call baby fever...WAIT. NO, I don't. I have 'I think I want baby, yes, in fact...if this were to happen..actually, we may intend for this to happen. AFTER we're happily married...for at least a few hours:)'.

drew, you are a very lucky girl. Not only did you find your way to amazing parents and siblings. BUT you have a lot of others out there who love you too much already. Can't wait to see where time takes us:)
