week 37:)

i really can't believe we're having a baby in 3 weeks. Have I mentioned that?! Have I ever mentioned that I'm in disbelief about this whole situation?! I have a feeling I have;)

again. NOTHING NEW HERE!!! Lord. I bet you're sick of hearing that! But all is good! I can tell things are nearing...the end...cause I'm starting to hate my coworkers...work in general. I empty cabinets. Like EVERYTHING in the cabinets at home. It's all on the counters. EVERYWHERE. And then I sit down to "rest" and then Jacob comes home and I "encourage" him to have that shit situated by the next time my eyes open;)

i kid:) We're both doing a lot of cleaning and sorting and downsizing and it feels great to get some things in order before the little one arrives. Man. We couldn't be more excited about that:)

water aerobics are ovaaaa':( BUT the weather is starting to look up and so we've been getting some walking in. BUT my ankles and feet are starting to get their swell on. And so walking too far...is difficult. Boo:(

weight

not gonna lie. There was weight gain. A fair amount. A lot. A lot aaaaa lot.

7lbs in 2 weeks. Um. Yeah.

i was 176 2 weeks ago. In those 2 weeks we had a mini vacation, which had us eating out for aboutttt 5 days in a row. Frick. SO at my appointment yesterday...I rang in at 183. I've decided to subtract 3 of those pounds because of the following:

1/ i had ate a WHOLE watermelon within 24hrs. of this appt.

2/ my ankles and feet are swollen...which leads me to believe I'm retaining some water

3/ i had to poo and that my friends...accounts for SOMETHING!!!

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN (so far): 43lbs.

- 3lbs. 

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN (in my head): 40lbs.

i have another appointment next week. We're on to the weekly visitsssssss!!! And I will report back on the weight issue;)

wardrobe

oh man. I got THE cutest and most comfortable maxi dress from H&M (I can't find it on their site but it's super simple and super perfect...Now wishing I had gotten a couple!) and I'm now living in it!!! It's a definite improvement from the tighty pants:)

baby buys

i haven't gotten anything since last week but there are 2 things on my must have list at the moment:

1/ cloth diapers - thinking Alva ones to start (affordable)?!

2/ this PERFECT onsie. Um. Yes please!!!:)

i really don't know what to say about Nasher. Except that he's another incredibly special kiddo in our lives:) I think this age makes me the saddest because it really makes you realize what's happening. They're growing up. And as many times as I've asked them not to...they always grow up anyway!!:'(

week 33:)

when I see that we only have 7 weeks...I had to do a double take. Tonight...that feels like an insanely short amount of time! Wasn't there a time when we were 30 weeks from a baby!? I'm truly not sure when this all happened!!!


things are going so well! There's an itching situation - I explain below. BUT otherwise, it's really been a cake walk! Can I say that!? I should complain about something to even things out and not jinx us;)


um. It's harder to eat with my mouth closed because I can't breath. Yeah. That's the only complaint I can come up with and I'm not sure if it's even related to pregnancy. I could just be a large pig;)


AND on top of all this amazing pregnancy shiat. I'm turning 29 tomorrow! TWENTY-NINE! I'm very excited about this because I love my birthday and I'm very excited to have this last birthday before baby:) Another opportunity to be completely selfish and have all of Jacob's attention before we add a whole lot of crazy to our lives:)

i had an appointment on Tuesday and all went well! Except for the part where my lab was scheduled for 10AM and I didn't pee in a cup until 1025AM. And then was finally shaking my docs hand at 11AM for my scheduled 1015AM appointment. PHEW. They were SUPER lucky the sun was shining that day;)

TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN (so far): 32lbs.

UP this photo makes my belly look enormous. Ridiculously enormous.

there's been itching. Not just a little itch. FULL ON ITCHING. All over. Arms, legs, butt, breasts, arm pits. Yep. It's as awesome as you're imagining. FRICK!

obviously, the itching is not fun. But I'm trying to take it in stride. I've got some lotion from my doc to try and I'm hoping to see improvement...soon! I just keep thinking about how lucky I've been so far and that really keeps me from getting too upset about how irritating this has been for the last few weeks. If a bit of itching is the worst I get. I can handle that:)

baby buys

no baby buys this week! We've had a few more really amazing baby gifts trickle in:) One that had Jacob making ME come to the baby room and close my eyes! I'll take some photos soon and get those up for you! Too cute for words:)

 

i love having some photos of the kids with the baby bump! I think these are going to be so fun to show the baby someday:) Cousin Nasher  and T were having fun with it:)

sorry for the delay in this weeks bump post!!! I've been a bit more tired this week because of the 'itching' and sleep loss - due to the itching:( But this baby is kicking like crazy and with each kick...comes peace of mind:) We couldn't be more excited about what's to come!!:)

i get to see these amazing kiddo's at least once a day:):) And I can 'see' them for as long or as little as I'd like and then go home and nap;) Ah, enjoying the good life before I have a kiddo of my own...permanently;)

UP my little Nasher bug:):) Man. He's got a cry that makes you want to just scoop him up. And usually you just had to punish him for something legitimate...but then you immediately feel terrible cause that cry...heartbreaking;)

and then more of miss Drew Baby hanging out! Her new 'thing' - screeching. That's really the only way to describe it. Not screaming. Not crying. Not yelling.
Dad described it as the sound of a hawk. Sure. I can see that.
Mal described it as the sound the animal makes that the hawk just snatched up for lunch. Even more true;)

every year Smith Bros. - the family owned business that Jacob works for and will someday/maybe/we'll see/not sure what the deal is...be taking over with his brother and cousin...has their annual 'Christmas Party'.

i very much enjoy seeing my family and the amazing food and the orange juice and seven up were flowing...as were many other drinks that make you red in the cheeks and do, what we'll call, ridiculous 'silly' things. Ah, I could vomit on your faces about my disgust with the topic of 'drinking'. But I'll spare you. I once had my own struggles with drinking and never thought that our age group (late 20's-ish) would be the sober ones watching those twice our age get stupid 'silly'...it's a whole different perspective and an eye opener.

last night we celebrated some birthdayssssss! YAY. Post to come on that:)

after dinner we walked up to the High School to see our nephew, Peyton, run the field in anticipation of their upcoming football season (and because Jacob and I will be catering tonight and will be missing his first game...arg).

And we also got to see Lia put all her practicing to work with their first cheerleading...um, cheerleading thing. It was adorable and she was FAR less annoying than all of the other 8 year olds out there;)

seriously. These kids are growing too fast. It hurts to see but I couldn't be more proud!:)
