fail.

remember THIS dress...the stripped ASOS dress that I ordered?!
It came in the mail today...and was too big:( AND for the amount I paid for it...I just didn't feel like I could justify keeping it and 'making it work'.

so she goes back in the mail manana:) BUT I'm not super sad about that. In a few days I'll be opening free/amazing/wonderful goodies from friends and family and I'll be glad to have the mola from the dress back in my sweaty hands;)

ASOS...get.ON.MY.BELLY.

i think...wait...I KNOW...ASOS is killing it with their maternity wear. Me loves. Me must have:)

- this is my FAVORITE. And I think I must have it. The price is holding me back but IF they have free shipping both ways, I may have to order it justtttt to see if it would look adorable with AND without belly. I just can't invest in maternity wear that I can't wear after the pregnancy. It's too much:( Blah!

- a bit on the expensive side but I was thinking of something cute for New Years...we're having a 'fancy' night out...I don't care where..I don't care how..but Jacob's been warned I'll be in heels and a dress and we will eat:)
AND it seems this could be worn again...without belly.

- mostly cause it's pretty inexpensive and could be used time and time again...Jacob's unsure of the look though. "that's showin' off a lotttttaaaa belly" he says;)

- again...Jacob would punch me in the head if I spent this kinda money on a shirt. With horses on it. BUT I'm still a lover of any animals printed on shirts. It screams festiveness;)

- just adorable..add a belt...boots, flats, tights or no tights...SO cute:)
AND I'm a lover of this length!

- way too expensive for this baby mama. But loving the black and cream and hello...teeny gold buttons?! You bet:)

UPDATE: free shipping BOTH ways. I think I'll be ordering the striped dress. JUSTTTT to see:)

flat bottom girl.

i'm a huge fan of ASOS. A huge fan of maxi dresses. Just wish I had a better ace to carry out the back side of these dresses. BUT I think I may still want to give it a good try! This one is the perfect price for 'trying':)

inspiration: Lake Jane

it's just SO adorable and simple and a long necklace or with a little or big belt. I could wear boots and a cardy with it in the winters and flats in the spring OR flops and heels in the summer. Me loves:)

for the little hippies.

i think I need to make my nieces wear these for the wedding. They're just too cute!!!:) And the idea of my little nieces (Lia - 8 and A - 5 and Drew - 6 months) being little hippies at our ceremony...all too perfect:)

ASOS $7.39

want it thursday.

a couple cutes that I've had saved for when I got my computer back up and running!

wouldn't this be THE most amazing 'mom' swim suit?! I think I want it for me now...want it for me when there's a baby in tow (belly) and for after when my body has fallen apart;)

ASOS Revive Pouch Over Swimsuit - $64.63...a price I'm not completely hating.

and yes...I'm obsessed with this era:)

for the bottom 1/2.

this may be a bit out there...but it's JUST a thought.
I was thinking that it would be cute for the girls to wear black pants, of sorts, for the Thursday ceremony!

am I crazy...am I losing my mindddd?!?! (where do I know that from....Seinfeld?!)

UP $23.31
DOWN $197.23

UP $21.52
DOWN $75.31

UP $53.79/DOWN $53.79
i think these last 2 are my favorites.
My vision is that they could wear heels OR flats...either or, sandals, whateva. And then they could pick out their own cream, black, pale blue or gray top. Wa LA.
Saturday night, RECEPTION, we'd still go black dresses w/ rockin' heels and patterned tights.
THOUGHTS!?

one thought to...nail polish.

i began brain storming this post when I saw this skirt and it began because of the colors in the skirt. I love that blue. And so began this thought process:

- maybe this could be pretty for the girls to wear but maybe too much going on

- Maybe one of them could wear it and the rest could get a variation...a solid with a black top and fun baby blue nails...yes...i like where this is going...

- NAILS!!!!!

and so began my search for the perfect nail color for my wedding. I started with the royal blue color because of that skirt but quickly realized that I'd be going in a whole different direction with my colors.

REMINDER: our colors are gray, black, pale blue and cream

so I switched directions to something a bit less striking but still had the ability to make my nails feel special. The following did it!
I'm always thinking about just going black...cause that would be fun. But I have some nasty nubbins and so maybe drawing thatttt much attention would be hard on other peoples tummys. And so in order to keep their eyes averted, for the most part, these colors would do the trick:)

Butter London Tea With The Queen nail color $14.99 - again...REALLLLLY?! But pretty and simple and perfect:)

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Color $29.99 - for reallllll. That's a crazy price and I'm willing to pay it cause the color's perfect!

just RE-looked at this color. I want it. $30 is NOTHING to me. Must have this color:)

ASOS is here.

this post initially started because I wanted to brag about ASOS and how darned amazing that site is. They have EVERYThing a girl could want and in every price range. Currently I have a bag full of tights for my wedding ladies and now just to balls up and hit the 'pay/buy' button! Eeeeek. Did I mention I needed to stop spending money!? Perhaps a time or two...or 100.

point: looks like ASOS is going to be coming to the US...IS in the US and I think it's going to be a hit! So check out there stuff cause currently there's NO shipping cost AND they'll send a return sticker so that IF, for some ungodly reason, you don't like what you ordered....you can return it for freaking FREE!

then the post quickly turned into something regarding my wedding. A.MAZING how I can do that. Even in an everyday conversation I can turn it in my direction.
MOH (Courts): the dog is REALLY pissing me off
ME: my wedding rocks...have I told you why and in detail?
MOH: Um...yes, yes you have. Like I was saying...the dog ripped apart ALL this freaking paper...it's ALL over the freaking house....
ME: OMG. Weird that you mentioned paper cause there will be a LOT of it at the wedding. I mean...you'll be addressing the PAPER envelopes by hand (the girls got some good ass hand writing and carpal tunnel be damned - she also has a full time job typing/transcribing - we will take advantage of her skill;). The invites will be made out of PAPER. There will be PAPER towel outside the porta potty. I'm going to stamp some PAPER with our logo-ey thing....
MOH: comatose.
point: these dresses from ASOS are super adorable and look suppppper comfy. I'm not a huge fan of the one shoulder. Don't' get me wrong, I love it. BUT it just gives you a certain look. Yeah, I know...a one shoulder look....but something about it yells a certain style and not sure I want that.
BUT the best part about it is that it has 2 colors available. The Beige that I'd like the girls to have AND Black, which could make Courts (MOH) stick out a bit and weirdly enough Courts 4th best trait is being a spot light stealer (1/ being a super cool all around person. One of those people that gets invited to weddings and has no idea who they are but apparently that person, who doesnt' know her also agrees that she's THAT cool and so wants her there regardless of having never had a conversation with her, 2/ making babies, 3/ looking ridiculously good before/during AND after having made baby in #2, 4/ being a spot light stealer - stop being married at a young age to a freaking amazing guy and having beautiful childern and then STILL getting hit on by the hottest black guy EITHER of us will ever see...EVER.;)
FYI, black is my 6th love (next to 1/ Jacob and all things Jacob:), 2/ Family, 3/ Friends, 4/miniature animals, 5/ naps, 6/ black - Remind me to get back to you about the top 10 sometime;)

the dress, One Shoulder Pleat Dress, is not a bad buy at only $101.10 (where do they come up with that price!? Really?!?). And if they girls decided to wear them for the reception also...that equals a money saver!:)

oh, and the gold watches. Love them - want one - will have one. End of story.

happpppy new....

i already found THE perfect New Years outfit for the amazing wedding we have plans to attend this year...ON New Year's Eve.

BUTttttt that doesn't mean a girl's done looking. I'm VERY fond of some new things I'm seeing. Extremely trendy but does that mean I shouldn't give it a shot?
photos courtesy of: ASOS - tights and knee highs, Aldo - booty heels, ASOS - dresses

i was thinking of giving the knee high socks a try and I've been looking for an excuse to buy those Aldo booties...I mean...REALLY digging. Jacob is just TOO good. He has yet to do anything bad enough that warrants me to reem his ass, grab my purse and storm out of the house saying "I'm going to ALDO'S and YOU.CAN'T.STOP.ME!".
Nope. He's a very good boy. Damn him!

anotherrrrr dress...sneak peek.

today marks 400 days till.THE.WEDDING! Can you freaking believe it?!?! I can;(
No, very exciting stuff. We're both super excited....it'll come just in time.:) And with today's 400 Days Till Wedding Count...I already set aside some time this morning to research flights for our Honeymoon and I will be looking up other randomness to get me more excited about the fact that we are inching our way towards WEDDING!!!

above is a little sneak peek of the ASOS lacy dress I got in the mail yesterday. It's probably the shittiest sneak peek you've ever been offered and I can hear the groaning from your home/work computers. BUT I need to leave a bit to the imagination. I mean...I've shown you about 3 of 4 wedding dress options...one surprise won't kill;)
I tried it on...it's fits like a glove. A slutty glove, a slutty bride glove?! My mom and Mal (my youngest sister) don't seem to think it's to risk-ay...they actually LOVE it. I'll go with that for now. BUT I'm somehow convinced that a 10lb. lighter version of myself can pull off this dress EVEN better.

my irrational thinking process: look less slutty = lose 10lbs. ON.IT.

go short all the way.

photos courtesy of Oh SO Beautiful Paper

sometimes I think if this ASOS dress that I bought rocks as hard as I am assuming it will, when it arrives in the mail...sometime in the next few weeks...why not wear it for both the ceremony AND reception..!? Something to ponder.

a short dress for all events could be the ticket.

all the little lacy things.

bring ON the lace babyyyyyy! I loveeee love me some lace!

i also love me the idea of having thin, slender thighs. This will not be happening for me today. Seeing as I just had a small bag of Doritos and a Dr. Thunder (yes, my cubby-ville opts for Dr. Thunder instead of Dr. Pepper....times are tough folks!!!;) for lunch today. Frick. I shall start over on my quest for slender thighs tomorrow.

but onto more important things...like getting me some lacy clothes!

Shakuhachi (really...for real?) Embroidered Lace Cropped Blouse $188 - I want
Triumph Lace Briefs $25.27 - only worth that much if the slender thighs come with it
Yumi Gathered Waist Lace Top $37.06
Free People Lace Maxi Skirt $109.49

all dresses for new years.

why oh, why must all sparkly things be SO pretty to me?!
yes. I've found another dress that I want to wear to the New Years Wedding. Frick.

pretty.confusing.

photos courtesy of Once Wed via Jill Thomas Photography

another oh, so pretty wedding. This is definitely a favorite I love the gray dresses on the ladies and especially how they're paired with alllllll super amazing shoes! Come.ON! Where did they find so many cute ones that are different, unique and SO perfectly colored?!
also finding that more and more I want to add a shrug/sweater/cardy to my wedding dress outfit. Frick. How will I ever know what I want? Will I ever stop looking IF I find the one? IS it possible that I could make the dress I bought for $100 THE ONE if I just found the right cardy to put over top? Okay...MUST.CALL.JACOB. But this is seeming to give me some hope that I may not have made anotherrrrr impulse buy. arg.

OR should I just find a short dress that I absolutely adore and just wear it both for the ceremony and reception?! I am having a freak out.!!!
I actually tried on the dress below last week while shopping with Jacob. Seriously, it looked adorable. He wasn't in love with the little puff on the shoulder or the long sleeves but all totally fixable....imagine mine more fitted and just all around better fitting than this picture. But it's SO cheap!!!! And I could see this working for both festivities!!!

asos rocks.

ASOS is soooo fantastic. The dresses are alllll reasonably priced. ESPECIALLY if you're planning a wedding and you want your girls to pay lots less than they would at David's Bridal (or any wedding store for that matter).
Lots of great options.
The above are all options for me, of course:)

- this would be an option for my reception...imagine with some fabulous black Aldo heels and black tights:)
- ceremony dress....something about color for my ceremony dress just draws me in!
- also a reception option with the tights and heels.
